  1. Haha. Nah, BMW keyfobs are better looking
  2. Question of the day! Seriously: Three60, Paperbag93, if you only buy two things for the entire year, let it be a 60mm stem and dropper post. Your thoughts will be "WTF, I feel like such a tool now having put a long stem and normal post on!" Really. Really really. Just do it, don't even think about it.
  3. Yeah, me too!
  4. What bike do you have? There's enough clearance on my OneTen, but it's fairly burly as far as rear triangles go...
  5. I can see that. My reference to the Wonderbra was clearly too subtle... PS: Also just taking the p!ss. Let's get back to world peace then. I'm out.
  6. Au contraire; sarcasm is often the best disguise for complacency. Don't worry, I have a sense of humour, I just don't use it like a muppet.
  7. Addressing #1stworldproblems is what creates a #1stworld. Complacency and "pfft, who gives a @#$" didn't invent the wheel, or the airplane wing, or electricity, or the Wonderbra.
  8. I run a 2.35 HD on the front, also on a Flowtrail, it works a treat and doesn't look overly massive. In fact, I'm going to be moving it to the rear with the arrival of a new Trailstar HD, also 2.35.
  9. I think you're misunderstanding. Nico specifically stated in one of the most recent replies that he was hoping to generate debate on marketing practices (something we should all be doing for the greater good of the industry). He did just that. You're the one who is claiming that people should "HTFU" and just deal with it. That's exactly what we *shouldn't* be doing.
  10. So you're saying that because "everyone does it", it's just fine and dandy? Nico has already addressed that angle when saying that we're all just too used to little lies. It's a dangerous slope.
  11. Let's do that yes, seeing as the listing was published both on their website and in a promotional mail citing it as a "special", with the "normal/previous" price as R1999. That is unless you're convinced that most people are used to usually paying R4k for a set (let's just clarify: both front and rear).
  12. Yep, and as a result he probably won't buy anything from Buycycle again. Neither will I, now that I've considered just how d1ckish they are with their advertising "tactics" (I use quotation marks very purposely)...
  13. My goodness, not only do some around here not know what "entrepreneur" means, but the slight nuances involved in the use of "irony" are also clearly misunderstood. Heaven help us.
  14. Not a lot of understanding of the definition of "entrepreneur" around here I see.
  15. Hmmm, most enduro racers rate the combo as really good yes, but without a shadow of a doubt the other way around. Double-check with your buddy to be sure
  16. Yep, I wouldn't want a Rock Razor on the front, it was never designed to be there and so its straight line braking performance is not what one would call "confidence inspiring"... Three60, I would think seriously about swopping the two around.
  17. Should be fine. I'm going to plop a 2.35 HD into the rear of my OneTen tomorrow, judging from how much space is left with the 2.25 Ron, I don't think it will be a problem...
  18. No. Just... no. My eyes are hurting.
  19. Maybe a shiny black one, with less metal content...
  20. If the course is easy enough to think about drafting, it's not mountain biking.
  21. I was actually toying with the idea of contacting him to do something similar with my OneTen... Hmmm...
  22. Yep. I used to have an Intense 5.5 (thus also 140mm), but this is on a different level.
  23. Damn Taahir, that sucks! An excellent pack option (I ride with one) is this: http://dialdbikes.co.za/dakine-mens-session-mtb-pack-8l.html. The HydraPak bladder and valve has in my experience been much better than Camelbak's, and it has a really practical set of compartments. Glove-wise, check on Swindle. Tools-wise, as Hellocolour has mentioned, Crown always has a good number of bits in their bargain bin. Pump-wise, I've got two spare, you can have one, let me know... I hope you come right!
  24. Sweeping statements like these are not helpful. There is no reason why someone who isn't even sure of what kind of riding he wants to do (and thus will not be dropping into a gnarly double black rock garden with waist-high drops) needs a long-travel (or even medium-travel) bike. He needs something which will serve him well across what he'll most likely be doing: riding jeeptrack with a little bit of easy singletrack thrown in. Something like an Anthem is perfect for that.
