  4. Pity you can't come to lunch naked...the security guards won't let you past the gates... But this is indeed good to know
  5. Lea deserves a kick in the arse! I had this question about 14months ago when I built the Blur, and he was Fox Fox Fox!!! The other night at the braai he suddenly isn't that keen on Fox anymore...wanted to remove his left male thingy with a blunt spoon
  6. Hi Chrissie! Sorry for almost making you miss your podium presentation at EP Herald!
  7. When Cashandra was down in Cape Town doing base with us we spoke about it quite a bit. I was a bit sceptical, but ordered a set, along with WorcesterWheelers and another of my team mates (2006 team) after reading a study that claimed of 5 tested riders, 4 produced 5% more power at same HR using the Qrings... I've only done one race on them, but do feel they help even out the stroke. WW being better financially off has a PowerTap and phoned me after a few rides raving about them. On especially flatter and slight downhill sections where he used to be able to only get about 270w out, he was now easily putting down 300w. BikeMax and Bruce will tell you PowerTap's don't lie WW was so impressed he has ordered another 5 sets of Qrings for his shop. I think the recommended retail price is around 1.5k for small and big blade. A normal replacement BBB blade is around R500, so it's a small expense for decent gain in my opinion...
  8. I didn't know Cannondale made titanium bikes?
  9. Lets have a minute of silence
  10. Marius: you saying the Hog's talk to much crap is like the pot calling the kettle black!
  11. Haven't heard anything about the incident, BUT we did discuss the Souther Sub's events and routes at the last league comm meeting. Some of the new route changes etc were discussed and the dangers (eg coming through Fish Hoek towards Boyes Drive etc)... Let's see if route organisers pay attention...
  12. chris414: pm Icycling about Spinergy Stealth PBO's. Good budget aero wheelset thats almost unbreakable. Not even Nolan Hoffman could break them last year and you can pick sets up on the Hub for around R5.5k. They're not zipps, but they're not 15k a set either!!
  13. I think (and don't flame me) someone on PezCyclingNews said: Frame, then wheels, then groupset... But others on the forum will obviously have different opinions
  14. Tell him!! Ask Cocaine, Donkey etc how I shout at them when they skip stop streets or robots! I'm sure if you ask him "when you get killed, which of your organs do you want to donate?" it might get him to think a bit...
  15. Campy Centaur 2005...had to replace last year when the shop stripped the thread on the cup...new one already has a few thousand km's on it, and no hassle. My commuting bike still has it's ancient 8speed Chorus BB, and smooth like butter...
  16. If you didn't know my Pta tandem partner, I would make such rude comments now
  17. When Guy Pike and Brian Ireland tears you a new one Marius, remember those words
  18. No...behave!
  19. I've done some writing for Ride and I've given Tim Brink lots and lots of grief about his Bicycling cover photos. Personally I prefer Ride, purely because it shows me people actually riding bikes, and local races. Bicycling shows me people on bikes I can't afford with fake smiles. And 'style man'?? WTF?? I wear the kit my sponsor gives me...stylish or not...couldn't care less if I was wearing D'Arcs, or Oakleys. It's all a personal choice though
