  1. I take my hat of to any organizer trying to put on racing in the current state of things and keep racing going. I think they really tried but were hampered by other factors - I hear TMPD is striking???
  2. Wherer are you staying in the area? We are bikepacking through there this weekend
  3. Seems appropriate ask: Would a XT 10 speed derailleur work on a 105 10 speed setup in place of the 105 derailleur? So is the pull of the STI same for both derailleurs
  4. Hope you gave the right answers. We gonna be boosting Kickrs soon. As long as we dont have to buy from the Lab. Hehe
  5. Just realized we being smoked by Onedayonly https://www.takealot.com/usb-rechargeable-led-bike-tail-light/PLID55240490 https://www.takealot.com/essentials-vivid-led-cycling-light-green/PLID51982325 Are these not the same for cheaper?
  6. Thats a lekke front light it switches off by itself if its gets light enough OK for riding and visibility not for racing Mine lasts 3 hours a t a time it small and does not have a seperate battery pack Love mine Its R199 at Takealot
  7. Who services Pyga in Pta now?
  8. It coz we cant comment on ads you know
  9. Anyone has a link to watch the ESPN 30for30 Lance episodes? Apparently its interesting
  10. Not to hijack the post, but have anyone bought online from abroad recently past few weeks? I would like to know if these parcels get through as per usual. DHL and UPS parcels dont follow the SAPO route - so I suspect it will take the normal 5 days or so to get to your door. I am looking to order from Merlin.
  11. And you still find riders (friends) posting IDT rides on Strava of 100kms in 2hours - and everyone is kudoing them. Wtf? Some rode the TransB of 220+kms in 5hrs? Really. Do they really think there is any credibility in such a ride? And then I sweated the 36one in 16hours with 5250m ascent - I kucked off this weekend. Not having a smart trainer is not an excuse you can at least pretend you made some effort.
  12. Nope its a boring overhead on Google maps But there is always youtube to entertain you - we did it with C2T this past weekend The great part is you ride the actual route on actual elevations and it will show on Strava. Dont think the Zwift guys will ride the actual route they will do laps of some artificial route.
  13. This will be a Strava only event? Anyone interested in doing this on the actual route on Rouvy? We will be doing it on Rouvy starting Friday afternoon. There will be an event created.
  14. Advice please We did the C2T ride this weekend. Loaded the course. Created the race. And a few people joined. Not everyone had smart trainers so some joined 'virtually' and we managed to somehow ride 'together'. Planning the 36one next. What would be the best way to do this 'together'? - Create a race and see each others progress - Create a route and ride it as a training ride then we dont see each other on the course What id we decide to do it in 2 stages of 180 km over two days, will Rouvy allow us to pause the ride halfway and continue the next day? Any advise will be cool
  15. Its more of a challenge Over any platform. So there is a huge Zwift group but they dont have the C2T route as far as I know. I wanted to create a route and used Rouvy it was easy. So a few has already joined (link above) the Rouvy 'race' Many riders will only ride it on a basic IDT.

  18. The mini USB connector's littly tiny connecting pins got bent. Polar cannot repair it coz this is a sealed unit. Hence as soon as my battery runs out I will throw it away. Anyone else had this happen? Maybe a solution?
  19. Loads of interesting replies - loads of companies selling not only saddle bags but other kit Thanks for all the replies and suggestions
  20. Yes I lost a total of 4 of those Elans. But not the one with the strap - the one which has a twist-on connection. I like the size could fit a road tube and levers and a bomb
  21. I do NOT like saddle bags. The look ugly on a bike. They rattle. And they tend to damage your seatpost after a while. I used the Scicon bags which has an attachment that bolts onto the bottom of your seat and the bag then clicks onto that, but after 3 of them broke off and one got lost I am looking elsewhere. Your experience and advice please.
  22. So I ordered a helmet from Cicli and it arrived via DHL. They send me an invoice for R1230 duties and tax etc. I phone them and query it - wrongly classified. New invoice is R473. Grrrrrr
  23. We rode past there this weekend. Looks abolutely awesome. But think this rain messed witht there plans to open soon
