I did about 7h30 on the 24th of December combining some STF trails with all the trails of Bottelary, on a hard tail. No problems. These trails are a dream.

Thank you trail blazers for getting rid of the fallen trees, road most the trails and not a single obstacle, just stunning views and epic trails.

Went for a scenic 7 hour ride around Stellenbosch. Strava claims 2600m climbing but Sports-Tracker (using the phones built in barometer) claims 2200m. Not sure which is right. But I'm buggered. Bottom of Element Single track climb on our farm used on Die Burger 50km

For us outsiders it's a lot harder to get accommodation. But if it moves back in future I'll be there.

Had an awesome time up there on Sunday, I think I rode just under 5 hours and managed to clock up 70km . That tree you have there in the picture was the only one I saw, much better than last Saturday. But with this wind we can only expect more to fall until all the dead ones are down.

Flippit, you guys really klapped it. Need to go do Element sometime again (without loosing anything).

Beautiful Breezy Bottelary

Mine was instantly. Picked up the board on Thursday and rode on Saturday. Just be careful on Ribbok, with the wind lots of the burnt trees are coming down on the trail.

I have this weird habit of writing the date on the back of Bottelary permit board each time I use it. Hopefully the 2018 board will see as many rides as 2016. 2015 2016 2017

Going home after work

I fell out of C-E and by the time I got there they ambulance was on the scene with no one lying in the ditch or anything.

Nice fun ride, I did not race and managed to get in under 3:30. Took me just under an hour to redo the first 18km back to Welgevonden after the ride. Well done PPA for organising this. Signs are up for a 2nd lap in 2 weeks time.

OK, I'll bite. Let's see how this goes. Lekker pre-Burger before the real one.
