  1. Nice link, as I expected mine came from K2C, index 23.54.
  2. I wish it stayed like that, eventually got dropped on the N7, but still happy I stuck with B for that long. New route is excellent and while I don't do road rides that often I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
  3. Ah, K2C, I'm trying to do 10 in a row, starting 2011 so I enter as soon as entries open. K2C seems to help my road seeding a bit.
  4. I remember in the last couple of years there has been a few of these that had rain.
  5. Go look for your results, it will be listed there like this :
  6. Interestingly, last time in 2016 I was also in 1G but the start time was 06:33:30
  7. Do you still make the cut to do a 2nd lap if you start in 1G at 6:39 ?
  8. Yeah, saw mine this morning. B.
  9. 2016 was a beast, those super chill temperatures at the start and end. Each and everyone of the TK rides was memorable to me. Anyone else that did all 6?
  10. I have been in touch with Rozanne from PPA. They really were very keen to do this event again. Last year we were a handful of people taking part but it was one of the best TransKaroos I have done - and I have done all of them. Sadly the turnout this year has not been great so they have to cancel and they will do a full refund. Expect an email from them short. You are also welcome to email rozanne@pedalpower.org.za with your EFT details and they will do a refund for you. While it is sad that this event is not longer taking place I do look back on the 6 years in which it was running with fond memories. If you are looking for a similar challenge from the same "creator" of TransKaroo then be sure to enter the Cerderberg 100 miler.
  11. I'll be honest, the only reason I am doing this and hoping for a good seeding is so I can at least get my 2nd lap that I paid for. After 2018 there is no way in hell I will enter this <censored> <censored> <censored> <censored> ever again. The MTB event, sure, but the road event. Never again.
  12. My current PPA seeding is E based off an index of 23.54 for last year's K2C. Not sure what Argus seeding that will translate into.
  13. Around old Simon
  14. Home on the daily commute, part of which will feature in the SRAM WC XCO Series and, unbeknownst to me all these years, requires "Extreme Caution".
  15. If it does not go ahead then it's the end for Argus. Dee Eee Dee - ded
  16. Legit seeding should appear on your racetec results.
  17. What two thirds and why?
  18. Guess I'll have to wait a while, if it took that long to go from B to D and I'm all the way down at R.
  19. Look, there is no day zero. There just isn't. People have to use less water and that is what they are doing. The government, sole cause of all this, is drumming up dire scenarios like day zero in order to scare people so that there will be no day zero. Basically, government effed-up, they are now doing damage control, and later when day zero does not happen (surprise surprise) they will claim it as a victory for them. Cycle Tour is just putting this out there to show they are 100% on board with the rest of the media clap-trap.
  20. Become a member and start with the rest of us.
  21. PPA and Racetec costs a lot. This would have been fine if the route was marked better and they have marshals at each turn, like in the old days.
  22. Ugh. Just more water nonsense. Nothing to see here.
  23. Probably just a mild change, like the name, or sponsor or dates or something mundane.
