  1. Many will say that a PF BB properly installed is good but I'm not sure....
  2. I converted my Cannondale Supersix Evo to the Wheels Manufacturing thread together similar to the above. The issue I encountered I'd that they use thin o rings where the ends fit into the frame and then the cream is back. I replace them but also adds very thin o ring where the flat part faces against the frame. That gives me 6 months of silence....
  3. This +1. I've found if my saddle is istoo high I've got weight supported by my legs, resulting in a sore ass Also, as someone mentioned above, if you haven't ridden in a while or are new, in our groups experience it takes 4 to6 weeks. Good luck!
  4. Well done! I get a recurring creak on my Cannondale Supersix Evo (roadbike). I use a Wheels Manufacturing thread together BB with Shimano 10 speed cranks. The BB has a thin o ring each side on the portion that goes into the frame but I have added a very thin one on each side as I think it creaks where the faces of the BB contacts the frame. The rust could be from washing and underlubed in the build process? I've had a Rockshox fork underoiled from new and Enduro bearings with less than adequate grease in from new. Good luck!
  5. Not sure about how your through axleworks but if you have, clean and grease dropout contact points. Also make sure RF pivot and joints are lubed. On my MTB with eagle GX and oval ring my RD clutch creaked. Also good idea to make sure it's clean between cleat and shoe, copperslip cleat bolts and bit of dry chain lube on pedal contact points and pedals clean and lubed. If necessary open ordals and clean and regrease. I've chased many creaks and groans over the years. Once I found it was my helmet inner bumping and creaking over certain bumps. Good luck
  6. Ah cool. My brother went to MV and was happy with the fitting so we'll do the same. Thank you
  7. Cool. I think that's where we're going. I thought Ruan also operated at Melo as the pricing/layout on the interweb is exactly the same?
  8. And the Decathlon was on my list I think I'm going to go for the Marvel one and keep it for when my latest Wahoo stops working.
  9. Thank you, I will check them all out. 👍💪
  10. Besides the 2 ads in classifieds, can someone recommend a reasonably priced bike fit in the Fourways area. It's for an MTB if that matters. Thanks in advance.
  11. Any spec difference between the Magene and Marvel? Google says similar price?
  12. There are going to be way smarter contributions than mine but my concerns would be: Lots of own brand components (Z) 1x10? What bottom bracket and it will likely fail very soon The replaceable hanger thing is pretty much on all bikes - I doubt theirs is proprietary to them but if it is it's better to buy a few.... Are the tyres tubeless ready? Conclusion: You get what you pay for and to upgrade components will cost more than double the bike.... Good luck. Interesting bike, I've never seen one.
  13. Difficult to beat that price for both transmitter and strap
  14. Good point. I'm referring to both. I've had the traditional issues with freezing HR values and press studs breaking after a year or two on my Wahoo Tickr thus I'm looking for a replacement strap and transmitter.
  15. Ah ok, that makes sense......he must have been full of Christmas spirit....
  16. And that's kind of before the Cradle, but maybe?
  17. Yip, but the only one I can think of is right at the top, above Cradle Boutique Hotel but it's not that high and it corners below.
  18. Not quite a motorist....received this 3rd hand and was told It was in or near Cradle but that high cutting in the video is not "in" the Cradle afaik? Can someone elaborate? Crazy ... VID-20241222-WA0002.mp4
  19. To the guys referring to the Takealot strap, what transmitter does it use? The Wahoo is not great in that department as well as the press tuds on the strap.....
  20. After me experiencing mixed results over the years using a Wahoo Tickr strap, what's your verdict re Garmin or other brands? I use a Garmin Edge 530 head unit so must be Any+, but I guess not blueteeth compatible. I used to love the old style Polar. They seemed to last forever.
  21. She could place quite high in the Men's. Pity she never partnered 9ino.
  22. Congratulations and well done! Dragons well and truly slayed!
  23. Yikes....... if I owned an e-bike I'd have it derestricted and boosting to the max! 😁
  24. I don't think that will be accurate enough. Also, if something is rated at 500w, that would be at best, under ideal circumstances, then there's frictional losses everywhere. Then, how accurate is a powermeter actually? Just like a dyno, you can't compare one dyno with another, it's more for before and after. True test night be to check how much current the motor pulls and compare that to others. If OP suspects the wrong motor was installed, removing and checking code or serial no will decide that one.
  25. I've learner that OEM are generally best. My experiences with chains:Eagle GX: 2000km Eagle XX1: 12000km Shimano Ultegra: about 20,000km plus ...
