  1. You mean there's any other way to internet?
  2. Yeah, but right there with the baby's bottles? I'd be living in the dog box for a month.
  3. Irrelevant. The UCI rules are the UCI rules.
  4. The Rz7. Google says:
  5. I'd be really interested to hear the reasoning behind this. It sounds like a blanket response and doesn't take into account the actual physiology of the patient. I mean, we all know, heart rate isn't heart rate. I've got possibly a decade on your friend here, and my max HR is around 194. I rest it at 49. Would the same advice work for me I wonder? A guy told me last night when he had covid, he needed oxygen and at that point his HR slowed to 40. The whole time I'm thinking ****, if I get this, I don't have much wiggle room... A joke, I know, we're all different. Hence my initial questioning.

Because it's the ugliest thing ever seen on two wheels?
  7. Based on what? The only weights I can find online are on complete bikes that do not include the Lightweight wheels the team use and some other light weight trickery as well.
  8. Doubt it. He doesn't have the tour winning cachet he once did. If he was the man here, he wouldn't have made the commotion, he would simply be on a rim brake bike now.
  9. Not going to happen under the current frame laws. There are strict laws that mean any airflow ducts to channel air to the brakes would be considered aerodynamic fairings and be illegal.

    Only the youngsters?

Of course the converse also carries some weight. We expect the world tour guys to be the best of the best, and that includes bike handling skills. So, this sort of thing should be allowed, and amateurs should be able to do it to, to hone their skills? That's moot if the pro's are banned as well, but, say for example taking a bottle from a car, that's a skill you need to learn too?

So, the theory that it's banned because it might cause amateurs to crash is justified? I can just imagine the carnage if some mid-pack muppet tries this at the Aurgust.

The supertuck deserved to be banned on aesthetics alone. I 100% support the irrelevant UCI on this.

It's like the EFF, shout randomly in a vain attempt to remain relevant.
  15. We flattened Firefly Lane in a week. That was surprisingly funny.
  16. Look, there's plenty of secondhand bargains in other provinces, there's also plenty of trustworthy hubbers who will go and check it out for you before you decide. One of the best things about this forum in my opinion.
  17. I wish people would say drop off when referring to a rider being dropped by the bunch. Fell off means something completely (and painfully) different.
  18. Yeah, I seem to have become one of them in recent years.
  19. I was running it with the stem slammed since I got it, it was just time that I'm comfortable in the position that the periscope had to go.
  20. Not a new purchase, but last night I finally hacked about two and a half centimetres off the new bike's steerer.
  21. WTF gearing do you use to move that slowly without falling over?
  22. I have three year old Decathlon bibs bought on sale for R299. Probably got over 3k km per pair. I'm about to put one on to go ride now. Still going fine. I also had two pairs of Maxed bibs that I used for about 10 years. The last few were only indoors though, they was well used...
  23. Yikes.
  24. Maybe I should save up then. I wear a size 28 and all my cycling kit is in XS...
