  2. So which one of you hipster doofuses is bringing this back into fashion? http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii106/munga1337/My%20Bicycles/1988%20Shogun%20Samurai/IMG_20130621_100423.jpg
  3. What is RSV?
  4. Been giving your bike a nice matt finish even before it became popular.
  5. Really brings out the finish. I use it on my cars as well.
  6. Nitrile examination gloves. I don't like the feel of latex.
  7. True, you do need a cutting jig or an old stem you can sacrifice to get it perfect at home. I used an old kcnc stem.
  8. When it gets really muddy on those rare occasions I might ride in the rain, I use some steel wool to scrub off the muck.
  9. Taking it? Hacksaw and a 32 tooth blade, you'll be fine.
  10. Do it yourself. Sunlight liquid and high pressure hose. I focus on spraying it on the chain, bearings and derailleurs.
  11. My bad. I didn't realise the point of the fred was about selling your bike.
  12. How about replacing the crank with one that includes a power meter?
  13. Mine has white carbon bars on. Very very east rand. But, this bike came specced with carbon bars, I just changed them to white ones.
  14. Cool. I'll make sure the Blindeyes are set to static not strobe in future.
  15. I use that setting on front and rear.
  16. I'd say if the frame is replaced it's pretty far from the original bike.
  17. I am certain I read something about that being sold already. Might have been a dream though. It wasn't garmin though.
  18. So on the rare occasions I find myself on the bike before the sun is up, I don't use a front light for illumination, but for visibility. I only ride roads I know with sufficient street lights to illuminate my travel. I want it as bright as possible and shining directly at car driver eye-level. Pretty much the same for the rear light. I'm using something called a Blindeye, with what they call 1 watt led's and visible up to 1.5km away. I guess they're pretty bright, I've had other riders comment on how bright they are.
  19. Am I wrong for riding in woolworths socks?
  20. I lose interest when someone refers to cars as cages.
  21. If anyone is interested, there's a R300 (with a slight dent on the top tube) for sale at the Cash Crusaders in Verwoerd Park/Alberton. It has the original Slice fork though.
  22. Are you a wannabe triathlete?
  23. Nah, I applaud them. Lean into it by going full retard in the opposite direction to what they were.
