  1. LOL@ Ipeens Only the girls will understand the logic behind that!
  2. well personally I think ,if one of the main focusses of the brand is to stop littering then the first people who should have the little bottle is the ambasodors. I am not one and I have one and didn't find it that difficult to find. Maybe pornstar should supply his ambasodors first, so things like this don't happen. And I don't for one minute believe that Johan spoke to this greg guy with a bad attitude to start. That is not the type of person he is. Besides he was in a good mood on Sunday so I just don't beleive it
  3. I am absolutely loving the entire Zebra & Girrafe CD at the moment. Brilliant SA music!!!
  4. I agree, then rather come on here and set the record straight in a good natured manner rather than now climbing into the guy personaly and insulting him and his business. His business or him as a person has nothing to do with the fact that the gel packet was on the ground. I like wasp and it is defintely my gel of choice but your attitude gives the brand a bad name, NOT GOOD! If you were wrong admit it, and apologise, if you weren't then just state that and move on, your response has just made you look more guilty. Besides why don't you as an ambasodor have one of those new little bottles to rather use. i went and looked for one specifically for this reason as it is less messy and prevents littering! Good Job JB for posting!
  5. If I dated him, I could actually beat my boyfriend!!! Esp up the hills
  6. no please let's keep their clothes on please!! These guys have no tans (except farmer brown's) and are all super skinny - as cyclists should be, well with the exception of Lance's six pack! amateur2009-04-02 04:07:28
  7. I see you were the first to respond And you DID post those pics up in the first place afterall Its about time we posted something for the ladies to look at - please don't counter with phantom pics guys (read bob/nathrix/...) And how about the fact that they are all fully dressed!
  8. Boonen, Basso and Petacchi!!!! they'll get my vote
  9. ask zaskar, he is currently busy with a similar project. He has done most of the research etc already.
  10. i don't know about all the scientific stuff, but I think interval training really helps not just with sprinting etc but also just riding in the bunch. Last year I thought I'd start training properly so I got a training program which included interval training. Now I am one of those ladies that ride in the back bunches and even then I hang on for dear life. But I did a race soon after I started this training and it was fairly small, so my friend and I got a nice high seeding (totaly out of our depth but anyway). Now as we were going along the bunch kept 'surging' (for lack of a better word) then easing up, then 'surging' again and so it went on until the end really. In my mind the stronger guys were doing this at the front to try and break up the bunch into a smaller group as lots of people fell off due to this. But remarkably we could respond and hang on every time there was this sudden increase in speed. Now I seriously don't think we would have been able to do that and stick with them to the end, had it not been for the interval training. I would have been finished by the time we hit 5km. my 2c
  11. try the little exercise tops from Sportmans warehouse, like the OTG brand, they aren't ?bra?s but they work even better than bra?s. They are also very comfortable to change out of sweaty cycling gear as they are like tops you don?t have to hide to change.
  12. yeah I agree with turtlek, the picture is after they went over the second line and apparently the first line was taken as the result, and both Anriette and Jenny said that after they went over the line Jenny had to pull hard on the breaks as a guy almost took her out, so if she is behind Anriette going over the second line, perhaps it because she had already braked, I don't know I wasn't there but that's what it looked like to me. Oh well, everything aside Owen, the girls raced well!!! Congratulations!! I seriously still think they needs to let the girls ride on their own or at least finish on their own. I know this has been debated to death and there is no right or wrong way, but look what happens when they are caught up amongst the men. The lanes should then at least be split and they should be told that the ladies sprint left and the men sprint right, or something like that. Then this mix up could have been avoided. my 2c.
  13. cool, thanks to those who contributed!!!! I'll arrange to get it from you! Looked at the pics, looked like fun. And to this I say..... ONLY YOU!!!! .....
  14. hey guys sorry we couldn't make it, we had a big party on the night before and I'm not sure what got to us, the food or the alcohol? HR if you did manage to collect any food then let me know and I'll make a plan to get it from you. Sounds like you guys had fun though, now let's see the pics!!!
  15. Zaskar, myself and Energiser Bunny will also be there. Zaskar and I won't be able to stay for the braai though.
  16. nice pics, this clears up the ladies winning issue as well I think, if you look at the pic, you can not see Jenny, but you can see her shadow and it's ahead of Anriette's.
  17. Hi Guys Thanks very much for the recommendation, I phoned them and they'll help us out short notice, very friendly guy I dealt with. With service like this I'll definitely recommend them as well in future. Thanks again!! A

  19. Glad Steve is going to be Ok. Zaskar also had his accident turning onto William Nichol off Sandton drive, albeit that was caused be a taxi. Well done to Lovemore!!! Also best wishes to Sean!
  20. Really? Is this a recent thing, how do we identify them? Pretty good idea, on a couple of occasions I've seen a guy without a lid there and Groenkloof. Whilst out with his mates who are all wearing helmets. I found out about it when I started riding there in 2005, not sure if it is still in force, but I know it was. I think they used to wear a coloured tag on their clothing or something like that. I know the one guy never used to wear it as he said that when the people saw it they suddenly did the right thing, so he wanted to catch them in the act and then show them the tag, after he craped all over them
  21. then let the guys ride with a bib on that reads 'PARK CYCLING MARSHAL'. If they 'donner' you then you have a right to take action as the rules will state that you must listen to the park marshals. They make you sign that sheet when you drive in anyway, why not change it to a type of indemnity form, with the rules on, so that you sign that you accept it before you drive in the gate. Then you can't 'donner' anyone. well that's my suggestion ... can't see it doing any harm.
  22. double posting, problems with the hub today??amateur2009-02-13 03:03:46
  23. no offence TNT, but you are one of the guys who make jokes on other threads not posted in chit chat and not meant to be joked at by the original posters. I agree with your point on some levels and others not, and agree it's a serious matter. just wanted to point out that SV was joking! Keep fighting the fight!
  24. Jeez I read Swissvan's post as a joke,
  25. Hey White Eagle man sorry to hear that, just glad to hear you are OK!!!! Man I'm missing the ride (even though I did a little only, still missing it). Hope the road rash heals soon!!
