  1. Hi JB, it is not black but rather dark brown. It could be a mix of seal rubber and dust. It really attaches its self to the stanchions that well that you need to scrap it off using your finger nail rather than a cloth or soft brush.
  2. Thanks Jacquers, I will do just that.
  3. The seals do not leak oil either??
  4. The fork is brand new. It has done this since day 1.
  5. I have a problem with my new Fox 32F 100 fork where dirt adheres to the stanchion (ie not wiped by the wiper seal). It is quite difficult to remove it and the seal passes over the dirt when compressed. Does somebody know why this happens? Help please!!
  6. CWC does not have the range CRC has. eg Tiagra front derailleur no stock. Continental Gator skin 25C foldable no stock.
  7. I'm sure if you ask around somebody (your cycling buddies) will take them off your hands at a good price. Not all is lost.
  8. I would think you could run without the old rim tape. This is BBT assembly pictures I found on Facebook. Best to confirm with the suppliers. I will be installing mine this week.
  9. Hi JB, Ballistic Bike Trading sell this product, The seal is formed between the tire and rim strip, therfore no need to seal the holes on the rim. http://www.ballisticbiketrading.co.za
  10. Have you had a look at the BBT MTB rim strip. Manufactured local and does not stick to the rim. Can be removed from the rim and re-used again, incase you have to replace a spoke.
  11. Come on guys, I can't through this away!!!!
  12. I feel for you mate.
  13. Anybody loose their Pedometer? I picked on up on the 115km route on Saturday. PM me with the computer details and my contact details.
  14. Can't you borrow a wheel for the Jock? Rather than using a suspect wheel!!
  15. A guy who borrowed a pump during the race handed it in to the organisers, they announced it at the prize giving. Maybe you should contact them?
  16. I have been trying to purchase 15 gauge (Ø1,8mm) x262mm long black S/S mountain spokes with no success. Some questions: Are 15 gauge spokes a new trend on mtb wheels as opposed to 14 gauge? Do LBS's just replace a broken 15 gauge with a 14 gauge (Ø2mm) spoke? Is it good practice to mix 14 and 15 gauge spokes on one wheel? Where can I purchase a spoke threading tool/machine?
  17. So what they cost?
  18. Condolences to all family and friends. Al, till we meet again one day my friend.

  25. Hi HM my experience is the only time your derailleur can get into your spokes is if the mechanical stop screw is not correctly adjusted. Check to see if the pivot bush of the derailleur is not worn and that all is fastened as it should be. Good luck.
