  1. I had a warranty claim on my 2010-2011 frame. The distributer replaced my frame with a new 2012 frame (as the original frame was no longer available) with new rear shock as the travel was longer on the new frame. They also fitted an adaptor to the shock to fit the taper head tube. No extra cost for the upgrade.
  2. My wife would not ride alone with just a lady friend, even if they could fix a puncture themselves. It is just too dangerous for two females to cycle alone these days.
  3. Make sure there are plenty, especially if Springs Wheelers are there. And lots of Millar’s for the ladies.
  4. PM sent
  5. What is the "CSA rider levy of R 6.00" on the 94,7 entry?
  6. Naa, I don't think rain could ever spoil that party to much other liquid on the inside.
  7. 32-16 on my 26"
  8. Thanks S01, I'm more concerned about running out of legs up the hills. Not going to race, as you said just to enjoy the vibe.
  9. Then 32x16 should be ok for 26"
  10. What size wheels 26" or 29"?
  11. I did Berg & Bush last year. I found my fitness was OK but where I was lacking was upper body, arm strength and mental concentration. I was not used to cycling that type of terrain for that long. There was plenty of narrow single track which required allot of concentration. I thought on the down hills one would be able to catch a breather, but was rather technical and required lots of concentration and the legs got very tired from standing up on the pedals, this is where the upper body strength comes in. Prior to B&B I would do two 40 to 50km rides over the weekend and spin twice a week. You must enjoy the event, it will be one that you will remember for a very long time. Fantastic cycling.
  12. Thank you Swifty!!!
  13. Any thoughts on a gear ratio for Winterton? Don't know what the route profile is.
  14. They are still in Springs, just moved their business into town. Derek Edwards is your man.
  15. Waiting to cross the river. To many cyclists not enough track. Organiser's need to learn how to build a bridge, those two at the river were scary.
  16. You ride to fast to notice the chicks!!
  17. Hi Eldron, where are the FIREYE tensioner's available locally?
  18. Cycle past and drag your cleat on the paint work. They probably do not know what the lane is for. Are there signs up.
  19. Where do you buy your Dala latex from?
  20. Show me any cellphone operator company in South Africa that is worth it?
  21. Make your own tool to chase the thread. Ask your LBS if they have a scrap pedal with a hex drive in the center. Strip the pedal parts from the axel and cut the thread off in front of the shoulder. Screw the threaded section into the opposite end of the crank and drive using a hex allen key. This should chase the damaged threads.
  22. I converted mine, no problems yet!! Running them tubless just short of twelve months. You must be careful, very light weight, thin side walls. Did Berg & Bush with them last year, no problems.
  23. I heard a rumour that Burry would have preferred to race a 27.5" but Spez don't do 27.5".
  24. I did not enjoy last years road race. In places the road was far to narrow with quite a bit of traffic (busses and trucks heading towards Rustenburg). Will not be doing it this year. The old route was better.
