    D2D 2014

I think the price has just shot up so much no one can afford to do 3 /4 races a months at R300. We didnt do the corousel because of championchip, out & back route and the weekend after was suncity and the budget is tight. Look D2d is RR00, probably not gonna get a goodie bag The Race for victory. R230 + I get a goodie bag and a free tshirt.....I think thats the cheapest I have payed for a race this year.
  4. ive ordered more than 6 times this year all within 10 working days Their normal delivery the guy who delivers the items asks you to pay before you can take the parcel
  5. they published a very comprehensive article in the bicycling magazine about this around Feb If you sell your bike and it becomes second hand warranty is void if you are an individual. because the default method of selling is "voetstoots" as is, unless agreed otherwise If however you are a bicycle shop, the whole consumer act comes into play and then its not "voetstoots" unless they specifically state it is.
  6. is it a normal seatpost or an aero one? Happened to me to just after I got my new Bike, kept on taking it back to the the Guy i bought it from, David Posthumus On the last visit, he told me he went to Cervelo and got a Longer seatpost, it won't slip again. And it didn't. In the lost City Classic as I went over the 3 Rail track I swore I saw something fly of my bike. But I was still riding so no worries, at the finish line some moron stopped just after the mats which caused us to brake super hard after sprinting. And I felt my seat post move forward while doing this, When I stopped to investigate, I saw it was the seatclamp that popped out. But then i thought why didn't my seat slip...... Took the post out, the MOFO put half of a broom stick inside my frame to prevent the seatpost from slipping. mothertrucker......./<Rant>

Tough race in al. See the 2 escapees only had 7 seconds on us. Welldone to all who helped chase. Sigh my seatclamp came loose after crossing a rail track. Just glad the post didnt move untill we breaked for the moron who stopped just after the finish. Very happy with 8th place in AL.

Will be there last year this race was my first one in the A Cat, so I got dropped after the little hill Hopefully things will go better this year.
  14. Update on the build, Nearing its completion phase Replaced the pedals Got a Saddle based on my flexibility Swapped the handlebar tape. I bought 25c Conti 400 tires but they don't fit on the backwheel , The mrs is smiling as she got them, so I will probs just still put on black tyres. Still haven't done the wheels as there is a clear coat on top of the stickers. so might just leave them.
  15. Not all garmins have a gps you know like the edge 200
  16. did you log a query with them?
  17. Hope you will be there, need some wheel to suck in case I chew off more than I can bite
  18. Was in Al were in both break aways in the first and section stage was tough as nails Tried to hang on to the guy in the livestring and ocean basket kit but they were just to light for me, dropping me on the hills on both stages. Luckily for me Underachiever & Braam was there to pick me up on both ocasions and helped me up those hills. Third stage took it easy and was not gonna go for the break, but half way up longtom I looked around and no one was left excepts the 6 of us in the front. Did not even try any of the food as I knew it was Hostel food, so I catered for myself and because of the taxis took no spectator packages, took our car with. Wife enjoyed it a lot more and she got some great pictures too. Very happy with the result though overall in 4th place in AL with 4:40 after I did a 5:40 last year Think I will skip the jock next year and go to the kremetart for a change
  19. just wondering about that no sms received, will collect race numbers today I did it on 39/53 and a 11/25 last year This year I have just got lighter wheels and an 11/28 on the back, if its good enough for a dbl loop of SBR I reckon it will do for longtom Been doing a lot of training in the hills & lots of track training, last week my threshold test worked out to 4.0 w/kg, so guess I am as ready as I will ever be

    jock comms

that is what the site says so yes
  21. Agree and disagree If cycle lab chooses to use the agent that will charge this much and also charge for items that is not needed ie new battery, they do deserve to be flamed as they are an entry point to the customer. And they are taking the responsibility to deliver the service to the client. If they can't they should rather rather say "Sorry our agent will charge you ridiculous prices, please take it to garmin yourself" or suffer the their wrath.
  22. I had a ghost road bike My rear derailer caught a spoke and broke the hanger. In the process the carbon frame also cracked Also liked the bike but I wont be going back
  23. did you come right? I also want to do this
  24. for that price tag I would consider the Specialized Venge/Tarmac. I think the Tarmac Elite comes with 105 and goes for about R25k. I know shimano has or is about to release 105 in 11 speed so maybe holding on a bit will be worth it. the same bike with ultegra 11 speed and a slightly better wheelset and carbon frame goes for R33 000. If I had to buy a bike right now, this would be it

    Emperors Race

You tried hard to make them racing, I tried to help you and create gaps of my own but the course just did not allow it, I need to get a bit stronger though, I think 2 or 3 times I managed a 10 sec gap but then I ran out of steam an everyone caught me, even did an attack on a downhilll ... crazy Nice meeting you will look out for you in the future I also hate them especially when they are as big as this, few more races riding together and we will get it right ek se
