  1. i also noticed that previous workout tracks/recordings are now kinda "simplified" - sharp edges and stuff... anyone noticed? hope this is not permanent....
  2. nice commuting weather this morning! this @ Truth coffee shop...
  3. sent mine in the first time the battery died... two weeks and R200 something for a battery change. wtf? i've since replaced the battery on my own. batteries are readily available (CR2032 or something) at R30 bucks a pop. still... queued up at the expo to get a new strap though...
  4. well it fits me noggin and ventilation is good, so yeah. one thing though... i don't know where to get a spare visor...
  5. then i guess i am a spaz then . I lost my Fox Flux visor from a crash last year - inicidentally also lost a front tooth in same crash
  6. can you believe it - was my first mtb ride up table mountain this morning (with hairy et al) and thoroughly enjoyed it. the views alone make the climb worth it. being able to ride there is such a privilege. and i shall definitely be back. so yeah, kandui your efforts are much appreciated!
  7. awesome hey... enjoyed the ride this morning! thanks again!
  8. i hope so. hey howsit jerome :-) haha... its the 'weekend bike' - the trance... that has the slicks on at the moment... i think i'd rather ride that tomorrow? ...if i do wake up in time. the GT commuter still got nobbies :-) ok what time is best to wait @woodbridge?
  9. hey that sounds really cool. i've been five years here in cape town and have never ridden table mountain . i'm just afraid medium pace for you guys is break neck speed for me. i commute from milnerton ridge - so will prolly hook up at paddocks intersection if i do join? gonna try re-seat them nobby tyres tonite. currently have slicks on 'cause of teh argus.
  10. interesting... mtb or road bikes? what is the route like? and how fast do you guys ride?
  11. to the dude who splashed me with a whole bucket of water at the bottom of suikerbossie: THANK YOU. saved me from overheating big time.
  12. i thought this thread was gonna be about tatty, torn, dogeared playboy/penthouse photos. thread title fail!

    Argus Expo

    it was bleh
  15. ...more importantly are they still giving away evil eye lenses at the adidas stand? mine are badly scratched.. i get replacements at the expo every year...
  16. this is cape town man. everything works.
  17. awesome. lost use of my left eye in a MTB crash two years ago (third nerve palsy due to concussion), my helmet saved my life. i still love riding my MTB, though sometimes i still get depressed when i look in the mirror... i got that "derp look" nailed anyhat, this guy puts things into perspective, so to speak. always wear your helmet guys, and look after your eyesights. and thanks for sharing.
  18. the whole vigne a vigne timing fiasco last year was a disappointment. the family did enjoy the day out though, ie, spur kids races, shows, aerobatics and all that, plus burry and the flying sauser winning the cherry on top. so we going again.
  19. Tropical Cyclone Irina is gonna crash the party.
  20. relax, maybe they give you the goodie bag at the end, like in the 99er? that way you actually have to do the race
  21. then its MTB season. mud, glorious mud!
  22. most probably the last dude. ..in the bogo GT. ...you turned off at the quarter.
  23. haha, so that's you. i think i rode into town with you this morning... nice bike!
  24. i usually take mine to the Polar stand at the Argus expo every year. they'll check it out/change battery if needed. didn't even charge me last time
  25. yeah, dig that feeling. man, i'm loving the cape town cycle lanes. its like they built a commuting route just for me. work near the stadium so, commuting from milnerton ridge three times a week, +/- 20kms each way. hardly have to deal with traffic and the scenery's not bad. not looking forward to winter commuting though...
