http://www.pedalpower.org.za/index.php/results-seeding/seeding/seeding-faq/ However I believe they do reseeding runs every month, normally the 1st or 2nd week of the month.
  2. so you are one of those people that need to be banned from single tracks. GRRRRRR!!!!!
  3. and then the scripts vs dosage vs qty found in system would tie up....................
  4. Yebo, they are awesome and the lightest in the range comes in at 230g. to get that weight you need to fork out at least ZAR 1,500 + You can get them from Rapid Sport in Cape Town.
  5. Or the chain blades are also worn and you will find that those are the gears you stomp the most power out of. I had a similar issue and could not believe it was the front chain blades, all three of them.
  6. If no one can see you did it happen? That's my thought on the matter.
  7. What is the issue, you just need one for regulations, to get to ride races, so get the cheapest you can get that weights the least. Ja, I am gonna be flamed I know, but i have broken cheap, and top of the range lids and they all do the same job. Granted the cheaper ones look worse after a crash, but that just means it did it's job.... energy dissipation. i still believe in a lidless ride, but that is off topic.
  8. Granted sponge inserts may be an issue but at that price the whole helmet costs less than the sponges anyway.
  9. Don't know much, but have used many, many "helmuts" now at the Expo i got a "no name" one for R 440.00. (Rapid Sports are bringing them in) A bargain if I say so myself. but wait, there is more!! It only weights 230g and had many vents. It is way cooler than my Bell, 120g lighter, and more than R 1k less. Looking at the construction I believe it is as good as most of the middle of the road lids out there.

Did you guys and gals also find that there are still a lot of mullets shouting for someone to hold their line in the bunches. What the hell are they expecting to happen anyway, in a bunch of 50 to 100 no one knows who is being asked to hold their line anyway. If you are behind someone you should be aware of what he is doing and adapt, sometimes a gentle hand on his/her but or shoulder nudging him back is all that is needed to restore calm. and don't get me started on the bottle "showers"
  11. Bottom line, take it from someone that is now K@K sleg. you cramp because you go too hard. If you do not force the pace during training all you will do is get good at going slow. (That is where I am now) Then in a race you give it horns to stay with the bunch and 70-90km later you pay for it. Simple! Go check what your ave HR was during the race compared to what it is during training. you will be quite surprised.
  12. WTF, no matter where you came from you got to where you wanted to be. I even changed start chutes with no issue. (Yes Backwards)

Well winning times were not that much off, so no real effect I think.
  14. and then they want to tell me how important a tapered headtube and through axle is WTF.
  15. looks like the 99'r.
  16. I do not see the issue with allowing buses on any route. have you seen where buses travel in Europe? The issue here is the general selfish attitude of the South African. I will do what I want when I want where I want. there is no reason that everyone can coexist on that stretch of road, it just takes a dose of CDF and patience.
  17. But you miss the point how many people want the photos? don't even get me started on medals. So maybe 15% of the field purchase if that much, then the math becomes way more scary.
  18. Agreed, however there is an intrinsic fault with the seals as this is what causes the problem, nothing else. especially as there are no instructions (99.9% of the time) shipped with the fork/bike. Especially considering that in 2 months you can f up a Fox fork, and this is not the case with many other forks. by way if example: prior to getting and "destroying" my Fox fork in about 7-8 months of minimal riding. In the past I had: Reba Race - This did 1 x Cape Epic and training for 2 x epics and was serviced three times in it's life. and it is still doing service in my wife's bike 5 years later (stantions are now showing wear) Manitou R7 - Did 2 x Cape Epic and requisite training. This was serviced once during each Epic and this is also doing awesome service on my son's bike but this is now also showing stantion ware now. But damn this has only had one service since 2010. Bottom line is the manufacturers need to make sure that the user's are aware of the servicing requirements before they purchase.
  19. And my total riding time was 12:07 total "race time" was about 13 odd hrs.
  20. I walked 90% of Ouberg and I think that on it's own took about 1.5 to 2hrs.
  21. LAPTOP KEYBOARD NOW CODE F!! Thanks ChUKKy. Good old belly laugh at that.
