I am looking for an upgrade and have found 2 bikes which fit into my 25k budget. I'm looking for a bike that is good to race but also comfortable (if possible) The Argon 18 Krypton (2013) vs. the Giant TCR Composite 1 (2014). I am sitting between a rock and a hard place, and all reviews I have read have not mentioned too many negatives about both bikes. Some much needed advice is needed on which bike to choose

Any more ideas on bikes within this price range? Also looking for a new bike and 25k is my budget. I'm 1.96m and weigh around 93kgs, so is there much of a difference between going carbon and going for a Cannondale CAAD 8/10?

Speak to Leonard (Carbon Concepts) here on the hub. I bought a set of his 50mm wheels and have done a couple races on the wheels! Great service and a great product! Haven't noticed anything faulty from the wheels under braking which is your concern

I don't think I don't think any Vaalie is gonna do the Argus with this information! Or they will at least stop by Clifton 2 to confirm this on race day

Apparently for the 94.7 it was super easy to do a second lap, I know loads of guys who did this. If peeps are going to do a second lap, I'll join you for some of the way cos have to get to the airport that afternoon. So will probably duck off around Fishhoek and do Ou Kaapse Weg back to Newlands

My biggest worry is that my girlfriend doesn't beat me on sunday in some stupid run! I somehow got spoken into doing that instead of doing this race! Huge FOMO

What's everyone's take on nutrition on race day? I know a good breakfast is imperative (mine is futurelife and a banana with a coffee) but while I'm racing, what's the plan. I did the 70.3 a couple years ago, didn't really have a great eating plan and totally bonked on the last half of the run. Suggestions? Products? Home remedies?

I just got the email from IMSA saying that a spot has opened for me in April and I have 24hrs to take it. I'm nervous, scared and excited all at the same time! Eish, now is the time to take the plunge and enter.

I bought a set of wheels last week and done a couple of training rides on them and they are great! Lookin forward to racing on them on Sunday! Also Leonard is fantastic to deal with, he will go out of his way to make you happy and satisfied
