  1. What a terribly friendly and terribly nice thread.
  2. Why is it necessary to replace (upgrade) the cage? Not sure if there is an XX1 price associated with it. Is it possible just to do the jockey wheels?
  3. Short wheelbase is making a comeback.
  4. *** news. Condolences to family.
  5. What are mopeds defined as? Those wonderful pedal assisted petrol driven bikes? For those millenials who never heard of them.
  6. Wow. I did not know wearing a mask stops Covid. Thanks for the heads up. Here are a few facts (imho obviously). The way the virus spreads means the only way to stop the disease is that everyone must have zero (ZERO) contact with anyone else for around 6 weeks (or so). The asymptomatic people will get sick in 2 to 3 weeks and then be sick for around 2 weeks, i dont know this number (maybe one of the doctors on this thread could assist here) and then another week to formally recover. Add on extra weeks if you feel it is necessary. Those who get sick will self identify and go to hospital etc, but its the asymptomatic ones that are the challenge as they spread it unknowingly. Basically, this period of isolation will never happen! So all we are doing is trying to slow the spread. The chirps about me exposing you is slightly in Lala land. the masks are not 100% effective and only partially. So the amount of wee that lands on me does not really matter as i still get wee on me and the wee infects me. (Using an analogy from above) It will continue to spread, and if you get it and die, well then, that is all there is to it. Either you self isolate for the next year or two, or you accept that at some point or other you will probably get it. Yes i am assuming the vaccination (if it happens) will take another year to develop and get issued to the needy masses around the world. But then again, the glory of a capitalist society means it will be months before anyone in the townships get access to the vaccine. I will wear my buff as much as possible, but i need to blow snot rockets, drink and breathe. I managed about half the ride yesterday with my buff up in total. i will also do the best i can to keep the hospitals to a minimum of dying patients by slowing the spread, but i am in no way naive enough to believe that wearing a mask will stop me getting this disease. It is just a question of when. Lets all hope the vaccine will HTFU, and stop the spread of this disease. Also having a s#!*y morning.
  7. Would have been a great bike to have. i kind of like the flat surfaces, radar invisible bike.... Hi Tech stuff man!
  8. That was fun. But i really know how much my power to weight ratio is an anchor around my neck.
  9. Do we know if there will be some cameras looking at the cyclists on their bikes in their "studios"? It will be fun to see what they do.
  10. Live electronic racing, it will be like watching the gamers playing E-sports...... Cant be worse than watching trotting on the hose racing channel. Thats the only other live channel i found.
  11. How does a gym have a critical services certificate. Does it indicate anything?
  12. I emailed Rouvy and asked about the drafting in race mode, they said it will be available in the summer, so sometime in August based on us in the South i guess. Hopefully will be sooner. Edit spellcheck
  13. Has a race been scheduled for the Cullinan to Tonteldoos or are people just starting a ride and starting at 15:00?
  14. Yoh yoh yoh!! Tell you what, i will look for it on Rouvy...and ride for an hour or two this afternoon with the crazies, no way i will do the whole thing this weekend. i am just not that fit right now.
  15. I think i will look for the A d H descent instead!
  16. haha, he is rockin' and rollin' man. It is like watching Goldmember doing his splits and leg stretches..... It does look a little disconcerting
  17. When i had my sufferfest subscription and rouvy, they felt almost exactly the same. Not sure why you are getting this. Check all of your settings and do the calibrate with Rouvy as well.
  18. Rouvy needs more rides with 200 to 300 m ascent, more realistic and doable for the average Joes.
  19. Seeing as Jackals is taking a break, I set one up for 16:0 today after work. About an hour for ride from Gordons bay to Pringle Bay. 279 m of ascent at a max of 7%. Look for Gordans Bay, seems a spell check on the name was missing. All welcome.
  20. To those arranging these rides, thanks, all comments from me are meant in jest. Not sure how many i will do this week as i have a slight sprain in the back. Too many Rouvy career climbs......
  21. That would be funny if it were not so true..... #someofusarenotbuiltforclimbing
  22. Those bumps hurt the legs. Clint, please don't choose routes that go up all the way. Rouvy has like a million of them....
  23. Sounds good for another ride today. Make it after 16:00, so "work" will not be upset.... as for my performance Dexter, i was way off from that annoying Muishond.........
  24. Think you should also disconnect the Kawasaki from your trainer too. You looked like you were pulling 450 to 500 watts straight off the start line. FTP at 160%.
