  1. Make a new one........ I had access to a spark eroder 5 yrs back but alas no more. Might be easier to machine a new assembly
  2. Timer switches and an electrician to arrange your DB. 3kVA is not a big inverter, so you will need to make sure kettles, ovens etc are not all running at the same time you want to run your circulation pump, assume its a pool one. 0.75 kW are typical. Check what your peak load is during the daytime and check of you can add any kW. Remember kW and kVA are not the same. kW has inductive losses so your pool motor will be be around 1 kVA.
  3. The charging of lead acid vs Li is different. It depends on how your charging is set up. Assuming the charging is for the correct type of battery, then it should get to a float voltage and hold there. Inverter needs to work correctly in the installation. https://batteryuniversity.com/articles Lots of information here.
  4. 8 kW Sunsynk inverter, 2 x 5.1 kWh Li Hubble batteries, 8 x 545 Canadian solar panels, and a whole rewiring and move of the DB. Not gonna save much on my bill a we were frugal anyway, but we have the option of going off grid eventually. Just have to move the genny closer to the inverter to keep the cable short. Pity there are not options yet to get businesses with solar ,like where i work, to sponsor (supply) the supply of power to the frikken lights outside our work. It is a disaster with cars doing 90 kph through the intersection when power is are off.
  5. They look TIRED! But still throwing corn!
  6. I see zero use. Your body position and arms define the turn of the handle bars. Damping effect, none seeing as the handle bars are still directly attached to the forks. Weak arms mean nothing as you will have to use more force to turn the handle bars. I only see it as a reverse power steering option. Unfortunately i think the difference between 400 W of a climber or aggressive descender vs the 200 kW of a super bike make this an overkill with no impact on a cyclist. Or am i wrong?
  7. Try early in the morning. It is a system issue. When home affairs logs in, the external user speed falls off a cliff.
  8. qui cum canibus concumbunt cum pulicibus surgent Hahahahahahahaha
  9. More than likely he found the image of Mr vd Walt and is using that as proof. As mentioned if you want to know who they really are ask for something odd, like todays newspaper or a spoon in their mouth. Personally i think asking them to put two pencils up their nose and ask them to be a pencil case is cool.
  10. Odd. From what was mentioned you have the cash from at least two transactions on the same bike. I assume then, that you have paid back the deposit from the other buyer at least...?
  11. I guess without classified comments, this is the new way to go.
  12. I still prefer my old Fox 32 over my new SID. Felt a bit more responsive on the trail, maybe my mind playing tricks. Both handle the trails very well.
  13. Best i can suggest is get the layering right. Water proof on the OUTSIDE, warmer stuff on the inside. Try and keep "breathing" of layers from time to time. I really like the glad wrap for that rocky water crossing before fangs. "Easy " to put on, and taking off and shoving in pocket somewhere afterwards. Done a couple of TB but not sure what i would have done in those conditions. Glad everyone is safe, . And to the madmarc ones this week, good luck! Prepare and enjoy the experience.
  14. When i get a fork WITH remote lockout, it is the complete set. Selling a fork with a remote damper assembly on the fork is not an item WITH a remote lockout.
  15. Deflate the tyre completely and check that there is not a "ball" of sealant that has grown in the tyre as this is what sealant does. Unsure if your "wobble" is a visible wobble caused by poor seating as advised above, or if there is a vibration in the wheel because of weight offset by the sealant drying out causing a wobble.
  16. Go with Frostys suggestion. Be prepared to take a day or two'd leave to sit in someones office to get them to figure out they messed up. Our neighbours did not pay their bill after the house burnt down. Municipality just kept making up numbers for water and lights and refused to acknowledge their systems were not working. Neighbour just stopped paying as council are useless. Joburg came to cut their cable in the good old way. Except they were useless as well and cut the cables to 4 other houses as well because, well the cables were all in the same box outside our neighbours house. One neighbour was retired and sat in the Joburg offices for two days to push the idiots to come back out and fix their stuff up. The same neighbour spoke to the idiots who cut the cable and they said they could not fix their stuff up as they were there to cut the power and were sorry they cut everyone elses, but it was not their fauklt they cut the wrong cables. Good times. As for water meters, i think the last 4 digits make up one cubic meter or 1000 l (i think :)). Had to figure it out as well when they changed our water meter that broke.
  17. Not me, but a house is being sold a road away from us. The next door neighbour has for the last two years run a BnB, that is used as a party venue as well, with weekend music going on late into the night/morning. There are various council lead activities taking place to try close the place down, but that is another story. Is the seller obliged to tell buyers about the place next door, or are you only obliged to note household defects and breakages.
  18. Got a busted hip, so wont be joining races for the next few weeks......
  19. Hi. Is there going to be any amendment to your policy, or are the voices that have been heard going to matter? Yes i know it is not a majority of people voicing an opinion here, but still there seems to be a general disagreement with your proposed policies. If people squabble, ban them from the thread .
