    Rugby...

This will open the door to Serfontein to make inside centre spot his own. It's a pity that money can change someone so much.
  3. I was thinking of this game this morning...
  4. I'm sure he will be able to improve, but to match a pure sprinter is a long way to go.
  5. I remember a moutain biker winning the Burger a couple of years back in a sprint, so not impossible. I dont think Sauser got the kick though.
  6. This will be my first Transbaviaans. Any training tips?
  7. Agree, Contermans and Hooggekraal are great rides. You will have fun.
  8. This tread made me wonder and I checked all my bikes last night. Luckily thay are all legit.
  9. Had the same problem. Replaced chain and cluster and all was sorted.
  10. I don't know Garmin products. I've used polar for the past 10 years without any issues. Saw the new one at the expo, and it's really looking good.
  11. Wait for the new V800 from Polar. Should be available in May.
  12. Great report. I've done the Argus like this a couple of times and enjoyed them the most.
  13. All I know is, somebody should warn the guy hosing the Argus riders on Suikerbossie every year. Considering the last week's events, he is about to get the beating of a lifetime this Sunday
  14. 2006 rained as well. At least part of the race
  15. I rode Suikerbossie and Chappies yesterday and the wind was pumping on Chappies. Was actualy dangerous on the Noordhoek side.
  16. There's normally a split in the bunch at smithswinkel. Try to stay at the front end of the bunch when going through Simons town. The group that get away there normally work well together. Stick with them and hold on till the top of chappies.

    Argus 2014

With smaller groups up front, the quality of the rest of the bunches will be better this year, so if the weather is fine, we should see a lot more sub 3 this year.
  18. I have a mate that struggled with the same problem. After he ruined two spanners, he welded an old screwdriver to the spindle and bliksemed it with a hammer until he finally gave up and took the bike to the shop. Imagine his face when they told him about the reverse thread
  19. My car showed 28 degrees when we arrived at bosecheldal before the race. That's when I knew the **** is about to hit the fan.
  20. Will be my first Transbaviaans. Looking forward to it.

    Argus 2014

Don't try to understand the seeding, just accept it. It's going to be interesting on raceday....
  22. Any idea when the seeding will be out?
  23. I'm Ok with the road racing fees. MTB entry fees are a bit steep. The Hell and Back for one went through the roof.

    Polar V800

The price is a bit steep now, but not so bad in the long run. I bought my S720 back on 2003 for R 2000 or something, and still using it with no issues, except for the odd battery change now and then. I'm sure the new product will be of the same quality and should be good for another 10 years.
