  1. Vida E Coffee Dash.
  2. I'd say both are strong points: AL629 1) The SLX brakes on the AL629 is better. 2) Arch hoops better & stronger than Inferno's X-AL 1) SID is a better fork I think. 2) BB and crank more standard and easier to replace / upgrade. 3) I don;t like the brakes. I'd ask (if possible) for Arch wheels on the X-AL, and try to get either XT or SLX brakes on the X-AL. Then you have a killer bike! My 2c.
  3. XTC no question. Titan carbon is HEAVY!
  4. For me it is as MANY people said when I did my investigation on what to buy: If you want a bike for great fun and pedigree to play on trails with and have immense fun while doing it... Tallboy. If you want a super efficient XC racing machine with unbelievable suspension... Anthem.
  5. I have the Advanced for 4 months now... Will not buy anything else if I had to do it again... even if I had 8k extra.
  6. Are you already here? You can join me too! Road / MTB?
  7. Ferrari or Audi? I know I don't help, but that is the first thing that comes to mind...
  8. I will join when I'm here... Back on the 21st, and then it's training time for me every day!
  9. This topic is so last year, BUT: A dualie set up right is just as fast as a hardtail!
  10. Absolute beauty! Congrats!
  11. Beautiful bike. Let the LBS sort you out properly by doing bike fit and set the shocks with the correct sag!
  12. I moved from a 44-32-24 front and 36-11 back to a 40-26 front and 36-11 back. Made me a much stronger rider. Are you struggling with the "granny gear". I've had some friends switch to a 38-24. It is quite a big difference in size of blades front, but like someone said, learn to use the full range of that 36-11 and anticipate when to be in large / small ring front. I absolutely love the 2 blades front and will in future (as I get stronger) even consider the 1x11 option of SRAM.
  13. If it was my money, I would buy the Spez SL4.
  14. My first one. See you guys there!
  15. Nothing can beat the 2009 Argus. And for many the 2009 Argus they had their best overall result yet! Me included.
  16. Good time out of E! Well done!
  17. RANT ON I agree. It is incredible how many people will actually brake to not have to help in the front. I also spent about 60% of the race in front of a bunch. Just reminds me why I love my MTB so much. RANT OFF It was a fantastic day!
  18. I say again what I said 15 pages ago... "Ride it like it's stolen over Helshoogte. Tuck in a fast group through P(n)iel and recover. Drop them in Paarl for a faster group, and stay with them till you get on the R44. In the last 10km leave them behind as well and smile for the camera!" Everybody enjoy the ride on Sunday! It is going to be EPIC!
  19. Yep, but that is the 3.6km segment... But it is seriously fast!
  20. If you do that in 12 minutes you will find yourself alone very quickly!
  21. Come tuck in... See you guys on Sunday!
  22. No way!!! You look way too fast! I think you will have to pull a group behind you! Watch out or you'll catch the pro's!
  23. Good luck Johan! I always feel that shudder when I read these things.
  24. +1 to Momsen. I had the aluminium AL529 R, was a fantastic bike! You look at Reba fork, XT / SLX mix, Crest wheels, nice bits.
