  1. Or Lightweight Meilenstein 1100g
  2. Oops, here's the photos:
  3. Since this is a thread about Lightweight wheels: Lightweight Gipfelsturm - 1025g
  4. Fokit, hoe lank bly jy nou by mammie?
  5. Ja julle bulletjies het mos n neiging om k@k uit te dink. Pienk truitjies en al!
  6. Glad we can somme clear that one up also. No camera may be mounted to the rider or worn by the rider or mounted on his helmet - check Mount it on your bike and you are good to go! It does not say, no camera's or no camera's on bikes!
  7. No, manufacturers will not add skewers or tape or anything to the wheelset when weighing them. They try and keep it as light as possible. I personally see light wheels as: Road: Sub 1100g 29er: Sub 1400g 26er: They still make these?
  8. Why go Arch or Flow? For XC and a lightweight rider @ 74kg ... go Crest
  9. Sorry, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=hEOq5ws8bFQ Terrain probably a bit rougher on this one, even going down the stairs was stable! (Thanks, Fox CTD) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=YqSrs5aYIUE
  10. The GoPro plastic mount with extension is not nearly as stable as the K-edge mount. From Prologue to Lourensford with the K-edge, I had no problems. It survived 2 crashes where I had to dust the camera (and myself) off and point it level again after it was facing skywards. That is probably why you should not over tighten the bolt right underneath the camera, so it can still move around when it needs to when you crash, instead of breaking the housing or mount. Lesson learned. Change the video quality to 480p for better quality. No one has yet answered my question regarding optimal settings for the best youtube quality?
  11. Torquing by hand is easy. Tighten it until you hear a "crack" then loosen one full rotation.
  12. No problem bru, thats why we here! Got mine from CWC but they dont have stock last time I checked. Surely if the GoPro (supplied by Omnico) guys are using it, they must supply it too? Ask your Lbs to contact Omnico, Im out of office at the mo sorry!
  13. Come to think of it ... guess what the GoPro team use at events where they have riders using their cameras??? K-Edge mounts!!
  14. K-Edge mount on the handle bar! Alloy K-Edge mounts are far superior to the GoPro shake-me-all-about-plastic-crap mounts. No need to add an extension with K-Edge to make the camera even more unstable just so it can face in the right direction either. If you are not too worried that a helmet mounted camera can break your neck in a serious crash, then that is the second best option.
  15. Is that just for labour? Those adapters are +R1000 so if it includes that ... bargin I say!
  16. Trimming is much easier with CineForm. The time wasting issue I have with Movie Maker is that it can take forever to import the video before you can start editting. Saving your final movie with sound and all the rest can also take a bit of time. Anyway to speed this up? Or do I need a bigger, brighter, better computer? The worst, is uploading a 900MB (fairly small in movie terms!) file to youtube! That is damn slow! Then after all that time ... when you finally watch it on youtube you realise just how much of the quality has gone down the drain. Anyone know what is the optimal upload settings for youtube to preserve quality? (I have noticed that if you keep the screen size small, it certainly helps!)
  17. Yup just open the tire with a tire lever a bit and pour some sealant in that way. If you are using proper UST tires (like Maxxis Crossmark, etc), you should be able to seat it again with your floor pump. If you are using non tubeless or tubeless ready tires (like Maxxix Ikon or Schwalbe TLR), a compressor will make seating them again much easier.
  18. The 1000 Garmin vs Bryton threads must have been deleted with the crash. Garmin all the way. Garmin is technologically waaaay more advanced. Garmin is waaay more user friendly and customizable. Garmin is waaay better integrated with 3rd party software The list goes on and on Garmin ... you are lost without it!
  19. Now ... if you are thinking what I am thinking ... this could be fun!
  20. Nevermind ... google is my friend Now I aslo understand why you cant show us the track. Going down the track in Tokai will have you having from the trees with magavters like that on your head!
  21. What does the actual mount look like? A whole 11min without showing it Perhaps it is just me, but looking at the rider the whole time is pretty boring (unless you are the rider I suppose) ... show us the track??
  22. Did it in 2011 ... pretty lekka race The bit next to the railway track and through the tunnel was awesome!! Did around 800m of climbing on the 55km or 53km or whatever it was.
  23. Yup I remember, used it in my video's! (Prologue) Swedish House Mafia - In my Mind (Stage 2, sorry the camera was bit dirty here!) The Wanted - Chasing the Sun (Stage 4, bit of a dust eating incident at 1:45 ) - Will.I.am ft Britney Spears - Scream and Shout (Stage 6) Gold Fish - Take back tomorrow (I just like this song! An old classic with a twist! Stage 7)
  24. So you want to get the frame first even if it might be too small?? Save yourself headache and bucks and go do the fitment first!
