Haven't heard anything about this, you might get a better response if you ask in the Tokai section of the forum.

One of the guys we rode with today lost his cycle computer at Tokai, we think it might have been when he had an unintended get off at the small rock roll towards the end of Mamba. If anybody spots it please give me a shout. Thanks.

When you are panting and sweating like a dog getting the bike out of the car you just know it is going to be one of those days.

Went for a slog around Tokai yesterday with Msyhem, Capricorn and my son Ben in the mid afternoon heat. Great fun but the heat sucked the life out of you.

Not in Capetown to be fair.

Mamba is looking really tired at the moment, overgrown and badly eroded. The first rock drop/roll is looking likely to end somebody badly very soon.It looks like lack of maintainance is taking its toll on what was a lovely piece of track. Is there any work or maintainance planned for it in the near future?

Ah but does he paint it matte black and then scratch it? My sister in Holland told me that is what a lot of guys do when I asked how come every bike I saw looked old and scratched up. Apparently it makes them less likely to be stolen.

Why then, when told it was fake, did the customer then purchase an original? Right there he coughed up for what he wanted, pretty much destroying any affordability argument.

He was only told that it was a grey import after he began to question the bikes authenticity.

Forgot to add - the reshape on Vasbyt is really nice. Rode it yesterday and today and it adds nicely to the track. Getting up however is now a bit more of a challenge.

Simple answer to that is yes. Regarding the rain - unless it is special rain that helps rocks grow big and strong then it isn't going to help. A real shame as that bridge and entry was my first real sense of achievement when I finally got around to riding it.

Noticed that yesterday - somebody has smashed the whole section around the bridge to pieces (ruined it completely), all the rocks on the entry to the bridge have been broken up. It looks like the work of somebody too frightened to ride over the rocks and it is a complete mess.

Tell you what why don't you try reading a few of the threads on the hub first before coming on and spouting stupidity. Every one of the subjects mentioned has a thread here somewhere, and if you ask nicely I'm sure the person that typed your first post for you will read the threads to you also...
