  1. Sunday I wiped at BRB , not broken, shin nice and swollen but everything still working. Lose the Samurai reamer that Wayne included with the bike. Today at Northern farm, I almost ride into this fella, it was only when I was about 50cm from him that he blinked ..that I screamed with some swearing and swerved out of the day. When I stopped to take a pic, I dropped the other part of the samurai and could not find it. not happy! Super hot out- started late, 1.5l bladder lasted just over 40km Next ride in Dullstroom.
  2. What / where is this circus of which you speak?
  3. Insane indeed. My OH was so excited to see it on the Netflix list, he also read the books, but then he likes weird WTF stuff like mulholland drive. me too
  4. If you find me on the way curled up in the foetal position crying, please just on leave me but move my bike out of harms way
  5. Peeps, over the upcoming holidays I want to head to SBR on my MTB for some distance and climbing, away from cars. The last time I was there was when I first started riding, and I left some tear stains on the tar, think I'll manage a bit better now - are there specific rules / etiquette I should be aware of to be safe and not be in the way of fast moving roadies?
  6. My very first ever international concert when they were here in South Africa - wasn't a fan back then - but they were exceptional!
  7. Dude, awesome pics!

  9. How's the owl Gen?
  10. Yup was there today. I suffered and sucked ????On some of those climbs my granny needed a granny. Also wasn't very confident descending, funny that I trusted my old bike more. Will try the bike out a bit longer and see about putting on wider bars, might also change the saddle. 3 more weekends before holidays, some serious bonding time. I will continue to work and earn this upgrade
  11. Took my new baby out for first ride - just went to NF as I wanted some familiar terrain -OMG what a pleasure to ride this bike. The narrow handlebars is going to take some getting use to, over steered a couple of times through some of the ST. Brakes might need some bleeding, and on a easy ride the gear ratio felt perfect considering I'm coming off a3x9 to the 1x10 - only long jeep track climbs, and had no issues - I even dropped the OH on the climbs - much to his dismay ( though he was nursing a hangover, I'll give him that - so red 29ers are faster Will need to pop in to Thaba and test her out on some more technical stuff, but I think I'm in love. ❤️????
