  4. I had a carbon bike (Raleigh team with 105), but sold it, but my brother in-law helped me with bike again, but it is Alu, so I'm getting my new frame in Dec, I will get my wheels in April. That is way I can make that statement
  5. Going from Alu to carbon with 1kg difference, you will not feel it in weight; however the carbon bike should be more responsive, Ride the carbon for a couple of months and then get on the Alu bike again. You will feel the difference. I’m getting my carbon in December, can’t wait, we will see you on the road.

  19. Training on a stationary trainer is hard and need extreme self discipline, Before you get onto the trainer you should have a specific goal, and stick to it, Example. 10 min warm-up. 3 min at 85 cadence (any gear that suits you) 2min at 95 cadence 1min at 105 cadence Recover for 5 min (easy pedalling) Do this three times After your last rest see for how long can you keep a cadence of 120, if it is easy, then try 130 next time Their you go (33 min +) easy PS. get a fan to keep you cool
  20. Watch a movie, from start to finish
  21. Ok. So it seems clear that the replies, shows that we can only assume, why the extra. R100. All entries have a closing date. So organizers should stick to that then. If it is so difficult to get extra water, medics and marshals, then why do they allow for late entries??? If it is really to accommodate cyclist witch for what ever reason could not do a pre-entry, limit it to 50, (on the fun ride route only, and only ask the fun ride fee. To me, it is so they can make an additional buck, because they can
  22. My wife decided that since the kids will be staying at ouma for the day, she might as well enter the short distance (OFM 39km). But to pay R175 for a fun ride is outrages and she did not enter at all.
  23. Ok, 100 late entries on the day before race, day the extra R10000 will cover this? What is the Race entry for then? And I doubt that on a race like the OFM their would only be 100 late entries
  24. Pleas tell me why one has to pay R100 additional for a late entry, what are the extra R100 for? Your late entry did not do anything to influence the route. They did not have to print you an extra number specific for that day, or now due to your late entry they had to go and look for some extra marshals. If this was discussed before pleas link me
  25. Well good for you, I bet you get only good compliments when some of you buddies sees you. 13kg is allot
