  1. That's what made the previous one unexpected. [emoji106]
  2. That was very unexpected. And excellent.
  3. The Activity Card allows entry to Cape Point and the Table Mountain trails, not only Tokai.
  4. It probably won't stand. There must have been a timing glitch on his ride.
  5. Thanks for that. This ride will definitely be remembered.
  6. Ou Kaapse Weg http://veloviewer.com/segment/973847/Ou+Kaapse+Weg+%28full+climb%29 Chapmans Peak http://veloviewer.com/segment/942035/Chapman%27s+Peak+%28Noordhoek+Side,+full%29
  7. I think this would be the most likely, though I hope it will be the normal route.
  8. Well done! And thanks for sharing your experiences. I don't know how all of you do it. [emoji106]
  9. R35 goes to CSA as your day license (if you're not a CSA member). The organiser pays R6 per rider, on top of that, also to CSA, to have the race sanctioned. Edit: bits
  10. I wonder what the terms of the agreement were. I imagine going forward the CTCT just increases the entry price to cover the R6/cyclist and the day licence is added on too.
  11. So not the initial letters of his and his family's names? I read that somewhere (probably on the Hub [emoji12] ).
  12. The Garmin site and some LBSs wouldn't make the discount worthwhile if one has to only use them. I see two sites at about 4400 for the 510, easygis (part of easybike) and iwarehouse. I haven't used either in the past, so I don't know if they're good or bad. This is all a bit disappointing, but I suppose it would be too costly for them to actually outlay cash value vouchers as opposed to manufacturers just discounting their usual markups. I wonder if the kit is worth the R600? Maybe just do a couple of races one was doing anyway to make it back.
  13. So glad you chaps are doing all the homework - thank you!
  14. Beautiful lighting
  15. Cringe worthy [emoji51]
  16. Moipolai Awesome [emoji106]
  17. Excellent. What better site than where cyclists already congregate.
  18. [emoji106] The straightest windy I've ever seen!
  19. Wow! One forgets how great the pics look on the computer vs. tapatalk on a dinky cellphone.
  20. These glorious insults are from an era before the English language got boiled down to 4-letter words. [i doubt that is true, but we can pretend.] · The exchange between Churchill & Lady Astor: She said, "If you were my husband I’d give you poison." He said, "If you were my wife, I’d drink it." · A member of Parliament to Disraeli: "Sir, you will either die on the gallows or of some unspeakable disease." "That depends, Sir," said Disraeli, "whether I embrace your policies or your mistress." · "He had delusions of adequacy." - Walter Kerr · "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." - Winston Churchill · "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." Clarence Darrow · "He has never been known to use a word that might send a reader to the dictionary." - William Faulkner (about Ernest Hemingway). · "Thank you for sending me a copy of your book; I’ll waste no time reading it." - Moses Hadas · "I didn’t attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain · "He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends.." - Oscar Wilde · "I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my new play; bring a friend.... if you have one." - George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill "Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second... if there is one." - Winston Churchill, in response. · "I feel so miserable without you; it’s almost like having you here." - Stephen Bishop · "He is a self-made man and worships his creator." - John Bright · "I’ve just learned about his illness. Let’s hope it’s nothing trivial." - Irvin S. Cobb · "He is not only dull himself; he is the cause of dullness in others." - Samuel Johnson · "He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up." - Paul Keating · "In order to avoid being called a flirt, she always yielded easily." - Charles, Count Talleyrand · "He loves nature in spite of what it did to him." - Forrest Tucker · "Why do you sit there looking like an envelope without any address on it?" - Mark Twain · "His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork." - Mae West · "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go." - Oscar Wilde · "He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support rather than illumination." - Andrew Lang (1844-1912) · "He has Van Gogh’s ear for music." - Billy Wilder · "I’ve had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn’t it." - Groucho Marx
