  1. Not sure how to respond to 4 people in one shot so I’ll answer here. I don’t believe (along with many others) that the weigh in was legit. Did you guys watch it? There was speculation that he had done a big weight cut and you could see that in his actions. Anyway, the scale had not even settled when they slid the weight back to the side and called it ok. Every single other weigh in was done correctly and the bar was given time to settle. There’s plenty of video to explain what I am saying. Please don’t think I’m saying this trying to say he’s a *** fighter. He’s one of the best I’ve ever watched. Make no mistake. Absolutely exceptional athlete! But I believe the UFC pulled a move there and it taints the win for me.
  2. No ways that Khabib made that weight cut. Sorry... He’s an unbelievable talent and fighter. No argument there. But I have a bad taste now in my mouth...

Another 1st lap mistake by Brad.... Sigh !!! And he has a habit of taking others with him :-(
  4. Milking Almonds requires 1000’s of liters of water to produce. So while the Cows are now happy to sing “Moo”, they might frek of thirst anyway....
  5. You can edit activity in Garmin after uploading. Add the elevation gain and loss if you want.
  6. That be correct! Fri and Sat weekend. But Dubai is like a night city. Nothing opens or even resembles life until after 11am. Breakfast at 12pm, lunch at 4pm and dinner at 9pm. People only wake up 9am or 10am. Unless they got kids! Malls at 11pm resemble a Black Friday special!!

Jirre. That’s below the belt man. That’s my hero you talking about there! [emoji1787]
  8. As @shaper showed for SA. I’m in Dubai, they $99 / 365 AED over here. Which is R1650. So with a bit of shipping and what not, R1999 seems fair. Not cheap but not bad IMO. Considering I spend almost 6 months of the year indoor riding (summer oven) over here I would have spent that on mid-ride coffee’s anyway :-)
  9. My latest addition to the Zwift Ecosystem. Must say, it keeps you focused and allows some cheeky moves. This is the smart one with Bluetooth steering integration.
  10. Steering indoors on Zwift. I tell you one more gadget and I might as well ride outside!! Quite cool that I can move out the draft, gutter style and hit a breakaway.
  11. This is knows as Zad’s. Because the building on the right is a spaza type shop with that name. Officially this is called Last Exit Al-Qudra and is the base for the cycling track here in Dubai. There’s a Trek Concept store here, coffee shop, plenty parking, a Tesla Super Charger and being the Middle East, a Mosque. Mosque’s for all cyclists here are great because they all have cold fresh water dispensers for drinking outside, best way to fill up those bidons! We have just over 160km of cycle track linked from this central point. Open and free 24 hours a day. Emergency phones every 5-10km on the track. 6 months of the year, in the summer months most people only ride indoors but the rest ride after sunset or before sunrise. Very common to start a ride at 10pm and ride thru to 2am. This was last night, around 9pm about to start a 2 hour ride. Weather now great as summer is behind us. My Garmin registered 21 degrees toward the end of the ride. Just awesome! By December you’ll be needing a windbreaker at night to ride. Riding at night, getting back to Zad’s at 2am and still the shop being open for chips and a cappuccino, people always around who’ve either been riding or been in the desert for a braai, is a different experience. The calmness of the night mixed with high intensity workouts is unique.

    Well done Cameron Petersen!!
  13. I had no time for interviews. Had to get onto Eurosport to see the end of the cycling. :-) I’m just excited to see what tattoo Ricardo now plants on his Renault boss. Should be a laugh.
  14. LH now equals the great MS on 91 GP victories!! Say what you want about the dominant Mercedes. But that’s 91st time he’s beaten a teammate in an equal car. Well done sir. #respect

Great race that! I’m happy for Alex #73 as well.
  16. Agree. Found it quite interesting the VR created a real life state for the driver with regard to sensory response etc. Suggesting the brain interprets the risk as real and not a game.
  17. Only agree that one needs the financial means to allow the purchase. For me, the desire for a Ferrari or Mclaren or Ducati or .... stems from my deep love and passion in Motorsport and I’d love to share in it’s heritage. I couldn’t give a rats arse what my neighbor thinks of me or what he might think my wealth/status might “appear” to be. But yes, I know for a lot of people the purchase is all about status. Just not for everyone.
  18. That was a good silver/bronze finish. Wind has picked up a lot, getting darker too. Looks like the men’s could be rain!!
  19. He’s just had a field day. One of the riders seatpost WITH a dropper post broke!!
  20. Looks steep and gnarly !! Pauline has shot out the front like a cannon.
  21. I do the same except up the Ven-Top
  22. Anyone following this MSI scalping their own 3080/90 cards?
