  1. Having ridden both rear suspension types. I prefer the vertical shock. For me, just rides better overall. But both bikes look great. You sure 120mm travel bike would not be enough? Something like a Scott Spark (non SC) type? You would be surprised what they can handle.

    Formula 1...

Nice Vespa. Nice Pajamas. On the bright side, if he races this on Sunday we could be in for a good race again!!

    Maybe a clutchplate...
  4. Problem I would assume with the MX scene is the high probability of injury you always facing with your athletes. So many things need to align to have continued success. Absolutely can’t deny how Aldon has changed the game in the U.S. He has taken so many to Championships although his methods don’t work with all personalities. Glad you followed your gut. Wish you all the best for the season.

  6. Well it’s to run Zwift in Ultra... So must count right?
  7. Yeah. I went with exhaust manifold black spray. Had a Fortuner and reckoned that diesel exhaust fumes was going to make any color I chose black pretty quickly... :-)
  8. Cut an old house for sale sign (the metal ones), 4 pop rivets onto the bike rack. Spray paint black. Sorted.
  9. Good thing that much of the sea creatures are not Vegan!

  11. I’m a little pissed with Garmin too today. Just learnt that the Physio True-Up to keep your physiological metrics in sync across multiple devices doesn’t work with my Fenix 5X and Edge 1030 Plus. Because Garmin changed the algorithms used when launching the Fenix 6 series. To have devices less than 24 months old be incompatible because of software features is just crap in my opinion. Basically now forces me back into TrainingPeaks subscription or Intervals.ICU to get one holistic view of just how unfit I really am.
  12. Follow the right people on Instagram and it’s a energizing place to be. To be honest, all social media platforms now you need to spend the time “shaping” it to a positive experience. There isn’t a platform out there (incl. TheHub) where I haven’t blocked a few people/pages where after a time they just bad energy. So it’s up to you to make it an enjoyable experience.
  13. We all need this... Simple really. Empathy The capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference, that is, the capacity to place oneself in another's position. And....in my opinion, empathy is something one does internally on their own, the moment you purposely demonstrate it publicly, you do the opposite.
  14. The outage yesterday was not Garmin fault. AWS (Amazon Web Services) had a massive outage which affected a lot of hosted companies and services that were routed through it's network. Update: Apologies, not AWS but more an ISP routing issue. https://www.arlingtoncardinal.com/2020/08/cyberattack-or-error-internet-outage-affected-multiple-businesses-beginning-sunday-morning-august-30-2020/
  15. Had it for a few weeks. Great piece of kit and super fast. Unfortunately not made ME any faster though ......
  16. I see thread. I put Copper a Slip. Don’t care the material. It’s never let me down.
  17. Depends on what Garmin device you have. Firstbeat have about 20 metrics under license. So you potentially are missing... TSS, TE, Aerobic, Anaerobic, Exercise Load ... Mostly your “Training Status” won’t be updated.
  18. Unfortunately the way Garmin license firstbeat metrics you have to record on the Garmin device if you want all the data to get into Garmin connect... So I also record on my Fenix or Edge.
  19. Bet you were happy it was your car in the drive and not the wifey’s play toy convertible....

Agree they have lighting reactions. But in interview with MV after the race he said he had been fighting a brake issue since lap 4. So while I am sure he wasn’t expecting total failure I think he was aware of an “issue”. I have had to eject from a MX bike a few times and no way I can get off that fast! The momentum and force required to depart course from your bike on purpose is quite something. Can’t imagine what it’s like at 200km/h and on tarmac.... Crazy...

  22. How embarrassing to have your picture taken and you not even in the big ring! No wonder he’s grumpy.
  23. Everything working 100% in my house on a Fenix 6X, Fenix 3, Venu, Edge 520, Edge 1030+ and Forerunner 20. All devices are paired to iOS and/or WiFi. I cannot ride outside at the moment (summer) so can’t confirm if LiveTrack is working. But running, gps, activity sync, workout sync, 3rd party API’s to TrainerRoad, TrainingPeaks & Strava are working perfectly.
