Had some old legends riding in the sandpit today. Unfortunately I was slow to register and missed the 100 that joined them on the lap. Still very strict COVID restrictions on groups. So only 10 groups of 10 rode along. I was Rider 217 so missed it by a mile. At least I now have some Strava segments where I’m faster than a 7 time TDF winner. [emoji41]

Thanks for this. I noticed my first x16 slot has a metal reinforcement around the edge, so makes perfect sense it’s got to do with weight of GPU’s and to prevent deformation.

Question: I see everyone installs the GPU in first slot, which I understand if that’s the only x16 slot. But when there are 2 x16 slots why are people still using the slot closest to CPU and all other heat sources?

On the boards I’ve used the shrouds are removed when slotting in a drive and cannot be reinstalled. But yes, that could be the case here, cheers!!

As far as Ferrari go, seems long and slow or you go short and fast ..... ;-)

PFP already made social media post saying all is fine and that Evie would have won even if she had held her line, said she did not have the legs to get around her regardless.

My latest build, not full gaming rig but total Zwift overkill.

Not the best of penalties to be honest. Sure was the teams fault but drivers do understand that they take the cuts for that by default. So understand he was grumpy but he really didn’t carry himself very well. Then he went on to say that “they are out to get him”. Stupidest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I would have thrown a little hissy too, but I’m not on the brink of 100 pole positions and 100 race wins. He will go down as the best of the best so I expect nothing short of excellence from him at all times.

Last piece of the build completed. Zwift in ULTRA 4K and pegged @ 60FPS. Just awesome. Unfortunately my Sony TV is the limiting factor at 60Hz so nothing more I can do. GPU will easily run at 120FPS but waaaay to much screen tearing. Improvements would require a gaming monitor and with ZWIFT’s current code limitations not worth it.

Will give that a try, thanks. I like to chase so the Crit’s are great.

Garmin is always over estimating my FTP. I’ve tried before to align to the numbers and then have spend the next few weeks failing my workouts. For me, the best way for me to do a FTP is 30min slow free ride in Zwift and then into a Zwift Crit Race of 8 laps. Works every time!! I then take 95% of my 20min Power Average of the Race. As a reference. Garmin on average about 5% higher than what I feel is my real FTP.

I don’t think the front guys changed their speed at all down the straight, the mid field hung back for the slingshot and when it didn’t come they had already built up some crazy speed. Poor guys at the back didn’t stand a chance.

Nothing but desert and camels.... For those in South Africa, appreciate all those beautiful trails you have!!
