  1. The more I looked at it the more I liked it and the more nervous the owner got I think...
  2. Interesting. I’m not sure how I feel about it though yet.
  3. Note I said “walking down the stairs”. Not bailing for the lift. LOL I’d roll down the stairs personally before taking the lazyator..... I’m super tough behind my keyboard.
  4. Blown away by the performance of this bad boy. Was tired of moving my 3000 lumen light from bike to bike with external battery pack. Was looking for a light that had enough power and runtime for 2-3 hour night rides which some in the deep desert can be pitch dark! Had a few rides and this does 1300 lumens for over 2 hours and 800 for almost 8 hours. Great spread of light and color. And a third of the price of some premium brands. I’m a very happy customer!!
  5. No excuse on the way in. But there’s been times on the way out the gym the legs are jelly! I remember walking down the stairs inside Eagle Canyon gym like a baby giraffe!!
  6. Arabian Ranches 2. You?
  7. Got to see Toby and Sam heading off to the dunes this morning. AlQudra Road while I was doing the school run. My day off to a good start!!
  8. Dubai, up the stick to ZAD’s and back. Weather is superb!! Around 24 degrees and NO wind. #awesome
  9. Magaliesburg? Up from the Wimpy? Man, I miss that place!!
  10. Senna has always been my No:1 , my childhood hero. But I accept that he wasn’t around long enough to prove to be the GOAT. Thing is, we will never know and someone like Vettel is proof and career success can change dramatically (though arguably Vettel is more popular now than he ever was). Lauda I call a game changer. He was one of the few that was able to completely change the sport while not changing the rules. He took car handling, weight and reliability to a new level. But ultimately the great enhancements he made to the sport were better executed in the car by some other drivers like Prost. Lauda admitted this Senna again was the first to take physical and mental fitness to the next level. What is now seen as the absolute norm was because Senna dedicated himself to one single goal. He wanted his body to allow him to focus 100% on driving and tactics and not worry about getting tired or distracted.
  11. What length of time defines an era? Suppose rules can also define it too ?? Why do you consider them to be from different era’s? Can fully agree Shumi vs. Fangio or Moss etc. But we talking about two guys that raced each other.
  12. As I said, interpret as you will. Your point on his return is something I hadn’t considered to be honest. I’ll chew on that for a bit. One thing you said here has sparked me to want you to elaborate more though. “Statistical point be a greater champion”. How else would you measure one’s ultimate success in a sport? Surly it’s on those key stats? Any examples where you could demonstrate a great champion that doesn’t rewrite records? (I’m not trolling, I’m honestly interested)
  13. Interesting comparison. Of course one can argue points differently so leave to you to come up with your own conclusions.
  14. https://www.76projects.com/shop/light-mounts This and get an Exposure Light. You’ll think you riding at lunchtime!! (and not 4pm in the pitch dark UK winter hahahaha)
  15. https://youtu.be/3l7eA06gKA4 Quite well said and like the comparison to era and not all time..
  16. Getting lapped by your teammate. Highest form of embarrassment one can get !!
  17. Anyone watching “The Undoing” ??

    Who remembers?

Bet you were finding your way around another garden on that trip .....
  20. On a local FB page here in Dubai. A bloke was closing down his BitCoin Mining Setup. He was advertising 3000 Gigabyte 1080 Cards.... Man, I don’t know exactly what his involvement was but damn that’s a hell of a lot of cards!!
  21. Indeed!! Just arrived. Sam Sunderland been here for a month already been doing some MX and stuff. I’ve been trying to catch some of their sessions but they been riding a few km’s off the access roads. I’ve got a bloody Sandton 4X4 and been stuck enough times here now to know I can’t get to a good vantage point. Hoping Toby and Co. will do some of the MX races so I can watch.
  22. Got some cool dudes training here in Dubai. I think they here until the Dakar starts. I’m stalking them....
  23. When you get passed by a low flying jet on your local path and say to yourself “jirre, some of these chaps take this cycling thing quite seriously. You look down at your 300 watts and say, how is that even possible. Shake you head and carry on for the last 10km”. When you get back to car park you notice a little more commotion than normal as you pack your bike in the car, why have 3 different people gone and taken pics of one random dude? Aaah well, who knows, let’s grab a chips and coke and head on home. When you walk up closer to the table, start to stare and the the penny drops...... MVP in the house and just chilling, riding his bike ...

  25. Nice! I had a 2013 for a while. It ate inlet valves like nothing I’ve ever seen before! Ti Valves and once that hard coating had worn off you’d have to shim every 10 hours. Went through 6 sets of valves in 2 years. Then tried stainless valves with heavier springs but that sapped all its power only being a 250. Had a few 300’s after that. Was heaven. Then got a 450F and shat my pants! Went back to 2-smokers. Enjoy the bike!!
