  1. I did not know that. Learnt something new today! Thank you.
  2. In a world full or carbon and expensive bits, you need a trusted parter to work along side you. It was love at first sight, you could say we just “clicked”.
  3. I’ve been loosening bolts everywhere just so I can re-torque them! This could easily become my favourite cycling tool (after my chain breaker)..
  4. Anything with a touchscreen is going to carry greater damage risk.
  5. Fair. I might have been a little lazy on my response with a single example. So a few more to consider. Any route follow capabilities? 3rd party sensor support? (eg. power) Fully customizable activity screens? Battery life (always on screen) FIT file support I’m not here to say one is better than the other. And I’m sure users will figure out how to optimize each to do what they want. I’ve already said I have and use both Garmin and Apple and by no means am a power user
  6. Activities recorded by native app are locked into Apple ecosystem with no API’s into 3rd party like TrainingPeaks, Strava etc. Only option is to record the activity with 3rd party app. Also, native app very limited in data you can see while exercising etc.

    Who remembers?

    Such a sad sight.... 2017/2018 I believe.
  8. Your passion an experience is evident in your words. I’d still prefer to tow the pop up roofs though...

How’s that launch control on the Ducati’s. Wow, they’ve caught everyone else napping !!

    Very good Moto2 race that!!
  11. It’s not so much about “function” as both will tick most boxes. It’s more to “how” they handle the functions and the experience. Garmin at it roots is a sports watch that they have bolted on smart functions. Apple Watch is a smart watch that they have bolted on sports activities. And it’s this foundation that makes the user experience different depending on weather you recording an activity or using it’s smart functions. iOS integration with Apple is just seamless and I find my day to day use far superior that Garmin. Reading messages, responding, setting alarms, listening to music, just slick and seamless. But then I can’t stand the way it tries to record activities. Reliability I cannot fault Garmin. I still have a Fenix 3 that my son uses daily and the battery still lasts over a week and connects to bike power/cadence etc. without issue. Same for my Fenix 6.
  12. When you posted it in the other thread I was about to comment that the saddle was “out of place” and you need to find something more appropriate. Now reading this thread realize you’ve got the original. Awesome!
  13. My wife has/had a Venu. She’s gone back to her Apple Watch. It’s an ok watch and good Garmin quality. But just not a match to the Apple Watch outside of actual workout activity. Either way you go, if you want to wear one watch the whole day you going to be compromising one end. Garmin excels at some things, Apple Watch at others. I’m fortunate to have both a Fenix 6 and Apple Watch 6. So switch between the two on a daily basis.
  14. Either DCRainmaker or GPLama have done some sound back to back tests on indoor trainers. Have a search on YouTube.
  15. I can tell what season the UK is in just by seeing what Bikehub threads you are participating...
  16. Also, I can’t see you indicate the mileage done in the three years? You might have a worn out chain and cassette.
  17. Worth the 15min to put on the new hanger and see if problem same or goes away. Since you have a new spare one, I’d eliminate the chance it’s the issue.

Was always going to be a run for the line, his exit on the last corner did t help for sure. But even if he hooked it up well I don’t think he’d been able to hold off the two slipstreaming rockets. I had good hopes for Rossi after quali. Race was a disaster.

When you wide open at 315km/h and two Ducati’s come past you like you standing still.

    Formula 1...

Brilliant race. Anyone who thinks Merc would have won with Russell in that seat today needs to appreciate LH44’s talents. But Redbull lost that one. They should have held position and taken a 5sec penalty post race. Even better, MV33 should not have exceeded track limits on the pass. I’m looking forward the the next race. Now onto MotoGP.
  21. 2 years. Faultless. Very happy. Since moving to Dubai it does tend to eat batteries though.

You are aware Aramco are F1 title sponsor right? Their evolvement with SA reach much wider that one race.
