As hard as I may try, I doubt I could get a time close to yours on The Cobra (I'm being sincere here by the way). As with most threads on the Hub, my 2 cents of 'jealousy' was really intended as tongue-in-cheek. Perhaps you're struggling with a little 'insecurity'? Surely not, considering the formidable riding stats you're laying down (I'm not being facetious here). Could it possibly be some 'roid rage going on?     How about the winner have >1000km in the last 4 months? Too many people spend more time on here talking about riding than are of actual use on a bicycle. The type of people who deserve prizes like this are those who spend their lives riding and other productive things like work and family, for example, and not boasting about their ineffective virtual bike-related skills. Yes, you could say I'm just bitter that I didn't win the sunnies!

    Something really bugs me here. If you're not a sponsored pro, who in their right mind cashes in 11k on a snazzy wheel set just because it "feels stiffer"? Don't tell me "because it's lighter and will make me faster", then you need to invest some time in actually learning to ride your bicycle - especially technical riding - rather than (futilely) throwing money at your slow issues.

    It's good to start with a 32x20. I run a 33x20. As you get stronger you'll maybe want to move to a 19t. Oh, I'm on a 29er. I ride Jonkers,Tokai, Tygerberg trails (dorsberg) and Table Mountain on mine. It's tough, but very rewarding, I love it!
