    UCI rules

Has anyone ever tried getting out of the ST position in a hurry (emergency) without having their saddle taking their pants and some skin with?
  2. The other 2 bearings are 6x13mm and 7x13mm, but only the 6x13mm is readily available.
  3. Bearing man and RS-components have these bearings. The needle bearing is a HK1010 HK1010B Corrected the link
  4. But you do not need the pin spanner to remove the crank, just a 10mm allenkey.
  5. on this route you lose less by just starting with the MTB. its not even 2km before the gravel starts, rather just work a bit harder on the first 2km on the MTB and pass guys as soon as you hit the gravel. I did the 2 lap ride before the TTT last night. I started slowly and then just kept a nice ave power. Went onto the gravel around 200th place, and passed 150 guys in less than a lap. I finished 20th. If it is another type of route, that starts at the beach, heads to the jungle and finishes at the beach again, then a switch over can work, but the MTB is only about 1 min faster than a road bike on the loop, so the 2x30sec changeovers does make it difficult. Unless you maybe start on a gravelbike and do only one change leaving the jungle.
  6. I actually think that if ASSOS played their card right, used the Qhubeka brand as a styling point and sell fashionable kit and casual clothes styled with the Qhubeka branding, that they could actually make money. Take the designs that they asked for. Some of those look super. It is associated with the main sponsor and main aim of the team and doesn’t feature clutter. Now, ASSOS should just make it in a more affordable level and not just super expensive.
  7. Ok, just saw on twitter Confirmed contracts: Thomson Janse v Rensburg Dlamini Walscheid Pozzovivo Stokbro Gogl Sunderland Campenaerts. Negations with: Simon Clarke Fabio Aru Nizzolo
  8. Correct, Gibbons also out.
  9. Anyone still have a roster of who is staying (at the moment) at Qhubeka(ASSOS/BMC). I haven't seen Possovivo go, but a lot of they big Salary guys have moved on. SA riders I assume are staying are: R. Van Rensburg S. de Bod R. Gibbons Not sure who else?
  10. Just my 10c on your thoughts. There is no right or wrong, as most arguments have a counter argument. Buy what looks good to you.
  11. Actually, their algorithms are quite spot on. There are a few extra variables that they can add, but then individual rider info gets too complicated. That said, your trainer setup, individual settings and heat management has a bigger influence on your experience, than their algorithms.
  12. No, not really. Your Garmin does not know what is going on in the game. Your elevation gain on your Garmin is 0m, basically it just counts how many times your wheel spins. In Zwift you have uphills, where it calculates a slower speed, downhills where it calculates a higher speed, drafting that will also increase your speed, road surface (on gravel slower with road bike) and then also power-ups that throw in bonus conditions. No matter how hard you try, your Garmin will never match your Zwift results.
  13. Also, I actually like this type of start to a Tour, get all the players in on Day one and sit back and see who will fold first.
  14. Sorry, only getting on the topic of Froome now. If you look at it, this year doesnt mean anything to him, he has a rep sheet long enough to get him a contract. ISN hasnt even paid him anything yet and they are already reaping rewards. These guys are billboards. How much airtime has INEOS and Froome received, because of his comeback and lack of form. How many people looked up ISN because Froome has signed for them. Media will be all over Froome next year, because he has new kit, a new bike, new team mates. Will he have form, everyone wants top know. They will get enough media out of just this year and next year to justify 4 years pay Cheque. The fact that he is a hot topic, even here, now, when he drops 8 minutes, proves this.
  15. More sweat. Keep it dry. Let a fan blow over your upper body.
  16. Not disagreeing, just mentioning that weight still needs to be accelerated. The faster you need to accelerate, the more input (power) is needed. PS. edit: For sprinters its more important where the weight is. Rotational mass, inertia and momentum plays a big role.
  17. There are some things that do not trickle down. Unfortunately 105 will never be Dura-Ace, no matter how long you wait. Dura-Ace is expensive because of manufacturing techniques, materials used tolerances, coatings, etc. Ceramic bearings are used instead of steel. Cranksets are clam shell manufactured instead of cold pressed. How something works, that will trickle down, so in that terms, only groups in the same model period is the same.
  18. Indeed
  19. Nibali won on Campag in 2015.
  20. EURUS seems to be off the Campagnolo website. Seems to be discontinued. I used mine for 15 years. There is an older set in the classifieds.
  21. Are you sure what you are seeing as a lower bearing race isnt part of a sealed angle bearing that separated? Basically a sealed bearing that came apart. This would explain the 2 "races" but the setup is correct, the bearing is just ISM.
  22. If it is a spider based powermeter, then it is a total power measurement as it measures between both crank arms and the chain. Quarq does not produce single sided PMs. Powertap is now owned by Quarq (SRAM) but is still sold as powertap. Their Powertap P1 s pdals are the only left side only powermeters that they sell.
  23. Unfortunately I would suggest that the Quarq is probably the most correct. Left only powermeters (like the Rotor In-Power and stages) is seen as the less accurate type of powermeters and a wheel on trainer is very difficult to get absolutely correct. I would suggest one of the following to try and gauge your current powermeter values. 1. Borrow a set of powermeter pedals (dual not just left), a powertap hub or a direct drive smart trainer like a tacx neo. (some LBS will have a trainer as demo on the floor, ask them if you can come around with your bike to check) 2. Go ride with a similar build friend that weighs close to your weight (+-1kg), riding next to each other your values should be the same. You can contact the guys that import Quarq and ask them if the can do a "factory" calibration for you as well, just to make 100% sure that the unit is set up correctly.

    Impey to ISN

Bianchi was mentioned to be looking at Movistar, as Canyon is dropping them. I have a suspicion that NTT will be on Giant. SCOTT also seems to be moving
  25. It depends on whos name you put where. When Sagans name was where Groenewagens was and Cavs name was where Jakobsen, Cav was made to be a dumb ass.
