I have used campag 2 way fit wheels with Hutchinson tubeless and its been great so far. The cheaper option is a can of "tyreweld" or similar for bikes http://powasol.co.za...fast-tyre-weld/ Not a long term solution, but definitely a "get home safely" option. Downside is that it leaves you with a bit of a mess to clean afterwards when you change the tube.

WindGuru, Windfinder and Weather Underground are the more accurate apps here. The weather according to them is 15% rain with a light (ish) SE wind picking up during the day.

I have tried it on the Tacx trainers and although the bike fitted (until I upgraded to a bike with a through axle) spinning a knobbly made a HUGE racket. I cant comment on tire wear as the noise was too much to ride with. My road tires wear down about 30% faster on the trainer than on the road though.
