  1. Months ago. I have READR on my iPad and get 20 magazines for R99 a month. Best thing ever
  2. Dogfights - WW2 style
  3. What about mounting a crossbow on the handlebars? Great for chasing downs moving a target? Or a paintball gun?
  4. Good Idea, but its too close to Alpine skiing... I'd add a bit of real bush to the experience and have the contestants down a different shot of liquor at each station? .... doping Africa style
  5. And such a lovely BoB colour scheme nogal.
  6. OPQS go go go
  7. What he said plus that a carbon frame will be much stiffer and thus have better power transfer and thus have more "kick"
  8. I have used campag 2 way fit wheels with Hutchinson tubeless and its been great so far. The cheaper option is a can of "tyreweld" or similar for bikes http://powasol.co.za...fast-tyre-weld/ Not a long term solution, but definitely a "get home safely" option. Downside is that it leaves you with a bit of a mess to clean afterwards when you change the tube.
  9. Jeez, I ride that road twice a day on my commute. Shocking stuff.
  10. Lefty, give us more info on these wheels please!!! Otherwise I would go for the new Mavic C40's (new cosmic carbon clinchers) as, if hype is to be believed, these are tested under extreme braking and associated heat build-up.
  11. Yep, The average driver there is like a good taxi driver here. I wouldn't take a bike. Rent a clunker for a bit of sight seeing at most. Better riding than the Seychelles, but that's like saying a bullet in the knee is better than a bullet in the gut.
  12. Yep, Rustenburg is also not in Cape Town.......
  13. That's a sexy baby - I need those Zipps of yours.

  15. Black Betty by ramjam
  16. Call me a poefter, but I'm using my flat wheels on Sunday. I hate the gusts down chappies with deep sections.
  17. Guess I'll have to park at Viglietti and walk down to miss traffic
  18. I bought a LOOK spring jacket last year, and it's the best jacket ever. Good fit, keeps the wind and rain out, but not too hot. Highly recommended.
  19. Yep, I'd go for SIDI first as they last forever and fits like a glove. If you have super small feet look at: http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/sidi-genius-66-carbon-redblkwht or similar. Otherwise go Spez
  20. Blast from the past - me in 1989 doing a 2:45 on a Le Jeune with 531 tubing and Shimano 105 gruppo.... Napoleon Dynamite eat your heart out
  21. WindGuru, Windfinder and Weather Underground are the more accurate apps here. The weather according to them is 15% rain with a light (ish) SE wind picking up during the day.
  22. I have tried it on the Tacx trainers and although the bike fitted (until I upgraded to a bike with a through axle) spinning a knobbly made a HUGE racket. I cant comment on tire wear as the noise was too much to ride with. My road tires wear down about 30% faster on the trainer than on the road though.

    I'm keen
  24. Yep, watch the WHOLE road being used and a brake tap in B squirreling down to a full stop in G......
  25. Phew, B for me so I have an outside chance I hope
