  1. Had the op done after no.4 ... hang in there buddy. The only way that I managed to keep going with a new squawker in the house was setting up an indoor trainer in the garage. The Tacx with real life video became my best friend for a while. And guess what.... the little loved to lie in her cot and sleep to the sound of the trainer. I guess it sounded a lot like the womb. Managed to train and earn brownie points early mornings before work.

  3. Yesterday at 5:30pm in a pumping South East I saw 2 guys riding along the N1 out of Cape Town wobbling all over the yellow line.... and the cycle path was less than 200m away from them.
  4. I find that some toast & honey to nibble on during the pre-race blood transfusion works best.
  5. It might have had something to do with the fact that the wheels didn't work and had a tendency to delaminate under heavier riders or prolonged braking. They are sexy though.
  6. Give me a shout when are keen. I ride a black Sworks Venge if you see me along the road.

  9. Yep, Discovery Pro Cycling died in 2007 when they got Lance'd. I have a discovery kit I am willing to give to someone for free - not used since Lance was bust. Knock off kits aren't bad either, as long as you don't spend a day in them cheaper bibs are fine. In case its a knock off.

  11. I've just used Ftech (ASG) and the service was awesome complete with a 3D of the final design - quality superb as well. Around R1600 bib and jersey if you order a couple. Used Anatomic before.... Great jerseys, but the bibs were not that great - when they get wet they sag.
  12. Blergh, guess it's either have mega balls and stick to the front at speed or drop the group and coast in loosing 5 minutes on the bunch. I might chicken out.
  13. And the cost to poor broke hubers will be?
  14. Which 3 bikes?
  15. Yep, I'd go for the "budget" alloy version until I have spare cash after my road bike purchase. I'll design the graphics for you if I can get a discount?.. My dream graphics would be something that looks stealth and clean on first look, but highly detailed on closer inspection.
  16. Bar tape matched to frame decals - The Manx missile makes the Velominati proud.
  17. Yep, mine clocks in at 6,8 but I could shave a couple of grams off if I REALLY pushed it. Seriously rad bike aVenge, enjoy

  23. It all depends on "perceived" difficulty extra over what that ride would be like compared to a ride in perfect conditions. Not difficulty compared to other races... I think But it could also be an equation based on the Heisenberg principle tied up with bits of string theory that Schrohdingers cat has been playing with.
  24. I'm biased, but the Spez with the SL4 geometry is the bomb imho
  25. There is this guy in Plett that can get you ANYTHING....just EFT the deposit first to his bank in JHB
