  1. Or the singlespeed Fuji Feather via the guys at Larc http://www.larcdistributors.co.za/single-speed http://www.fujibikes.com/bike/details/feather
  2. Had a quick look around and my local LBS and online and you can do you a singlespeed or fixed gear classic looking bike for a very decent price. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cinelli-vigorelli-2013/ http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wilier-velodromo-alu-2012/ http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/creme-vinyl-doppio-fixed-gear-bike-2012/rp-prod69700
  3. I have to burst your bubble a bit - That doesn't look like a classic Peugeot, merely an old one. It reminds me of the model below the Peugeot Rapport cira 1980. If you plan to just bang about with the bike and pick it up for R100 I'd say cool, but if you are looking for a classic I'd say look some more.
  4. My Spez Sworks Venge with Red22
  5. Totally unacceptable behavior. Big thumbs down to the Cape Town "Giants"...... giant a-holes...
  6. Very nice, but if you are like me the build is NEVER complete.... lol
  7. Yep, full marks ... the ride rocks!
  8. Pete and the guys at ASG do great designs for you when you order Ftech cycling kit through them. Well worth a try.
  9. I'm trying that trick myself, but it's no easy thing - well done to you
  10. I think now that the UCI has capped bikes at 6.8kg minimum most brands play around in that ballpark for stock bikes and its not only all about the weight. Then again ...... I just spent R100 more on a bottle cage that was 26 grams as opposed to its 35 gram competitor....
  11. Yep, sounds like you need a new LBS
  12. I will not move from SIDI... my only complaint is that they don't die and give me reason to upgrade.
  13. Same as Hayseed without the cloth and a R20 for emergency coffee or to use on small cuts in the tire.
  14. My 2 cents would go toward a Felt F4... see if you can snag a 2013 bike on special.

  16. only a small car?????
  17. If they were serious they should have been doing the West Coast Express... but with bottoms like those they look like they are built for, um, comfort and not speed.
  18. Yep, they mentioned it in their mailers, and when I emailed them to ask them to post me my number they promptly did and I had my new number one week later.
  19. I would point you straight to Revolution Cycles if you go new. They are my LBS of choice and I live 35km away. However..... on your budget I would say buy 2nd hand and still consider a 26" - you will get the most bang for your buck that way but take a bike savvy friend with to look at the bike and make sure it hasn't been too intimate with the drop offs in Tokai
  20. I have a pair I can pass on to you. I am in Kloof Street
  21. I'd say go to John O,Connor cycles as upmarket campy is up their street, or try Revolution Cycles as Stirling and the guys there are super helpful and top notch.
  22. you will need more gold bling to make it work... matching seatpost clamp etc?
  23. Yep, place a single thread of fabric in the parcel and you pay 40% duty plus 14% VAT..... So if you are buying clothing take the purchase price and double it.
