  1. I have been shopping around for deep section wheels myself and I would opt for the Mavic's in this case. Darkhorse looks good but the hubs don't quite make the grade. The Shimano's seem to be technically good, but I haven't seen them in the flesh so I don't know.
  2. Cira 2001....
  3. reminds me of the Zipp tt frames cira 2001...
  4. Mate is 90kg 6'2" Supposedly the new Cosmic Carbone 40 C dissipates heat properly but that might be all marketing speak...
  5. Also, beware that Strava can stop itself when bouncing around in your pocket, so lock the screen before you slip it in your pocket.

  12. Anybody hurling abuse when passed should sell their bikes and get back in their beamers.
  13. Look at the older posts from ASG in the site sponsors section. They will point you to their Pinarello distributors, but I think it's about R47k for the frame.
  14. Great logic, I fit that category.
  15. Yeah, he was the best doper of all the dopers. He deserves the medals.....(unfortunately)
  16. Yep, ride, upload, fiddle a bit and repeat.
  17. It still burns that a Ferrari costs around R3500/kg while my bike is over R8000/kg while both are highly engineered specialized hand but items.
  18. With the bearings you might as well replace the axle and the seals plus labour..... Prepare for R1800 per wheel.
  19. Have any of you ever had to replace the bearings on a Campag hub? There isn't enough KY in Africa to soften that blow..... I share your pain Garfield.
  20. 9.76 for the blonde, but the hummer gets a 1.32 (0.87 without the wheels) although the Romanian judge scored it the other way round.
  21. What is this thing with some MTBers and training with race numbers? Is it to train with the different aero characteristics and subsequent handling that a number an your handlebar provides?
  22. Yes, I had my facts screwed around. Apologies.
  23. I wonder what camera was used? Seems the res could be better.
