  1. I would have gone ape on the previous sales if i knew cyclelab would team up. Oh well
  2. Oreded my Crankset via standard mail on the 30th November, Still waiting. Next time its DHL.
  3. Got a replacement set for my fuel cell's. Ordered standard but received polarised, score!
  4. According to Sheldon Brown's website, a 15mm inner rim width will accommodate anything from a 23mm to 32mm safely
  5. Thanks guys, some interesting feedback. Also believe 28's will become a standard among road bike and empathise with oufy saying that the change from 23 to 25 is one of the best value for money 'upgrades'
  6. Allright, so my riding buddy reckons the difference between 23mm and 25mm road tyres is barely tangible and cannot tell the difference in ride feel. I however, feel the difference between 23 and 25 is night and day and can be felt immediately. Frankly the 25mm provided such a smooth and welcome change, that if I could fit 28mm in my frame I would do just that. So hub land, what are your thought and experiences?
  7. Currently have the red/black team frame. Have had it for over 5 years. When I got it it came with 105 5600 and mavic aksium wheels. After wearing those out have since upgraded to 105 5800 and fulcrum quattros. The frame had held up well apart from colliding with a car and snapping my rear stay which I repaired myself and has been fine. The front fork however snapped near the top of the carbon steerer whilst mashing it up a hill. Perhaps over tightened the stem or may have been weekend from accident, can't say. I have replace it with a Scott CR1 fork given to me by a very generous fellow huber (thanks carbon29er) and going strong. I sometimes wish had a lighter frame but this Raleigh has overtaken many top end bikes and the fun factor hasn't changed since the day I got it from Gerry and Urban Cycles. I would highly recommend as a first time carbon or budget entry level performance ride. My 2c ????
  8. Heat cable end with a lighter. Stick the tip through a plastic coke bottle. Job done.
  9. I have the black and red version. Says 52cm large on the frame. Seat tube is 52 and top tube is 56. Essentially makes this a compact frame. I'm 183cm tall and find this frame to be perfect. Also extremely happy with it and having had a look at the LTD it's the same template just different Spray. Have have upgraded the wheels and drivetrain and couldn't be happier with it. I do feel the asking price may be a bit high given the current market and would punt for 10k. My 2c.
  10. cannot find any changes effective from april 2016. only 2014. flew inbound on emirates on 1st april with hardshell bike box (BIKESAFE) and bike and had no problems. total weight of bike box and bikewas under 23kgs and had an additional suitcase which was 9kgs.
  11. Hi there, sorry to hear about that and thanks for sharing, Would i be correct is stating the current size allowance is 300cm (l+b+w)? For customers with two pieces of luggage in all three classes, the total combined dimensions of both pieces should not exceed 300cm (118 inches). (taken from site) if so thats a lot bigger than a medium sized suitcase? if im wrong please copy and paste fineprint.
  12. Thanks stoffies, To be honest I was expecting 10% on bicycle spares and perhaps tools, however don't want to get any nasty surprises. I.e. 40%
  13. Ok Thnks ed, Will have a look an see if I come right. Wish me luck ekse.
  14. Hi all, Please could anyone advise on the import duty fees with regards to buying tools from chain reaction cycles? I'm not sure which catagory it would fall under. Thanks
  15. Perhaps durability vs weight (Ultegra/DA) taken preference to stay with UCI weight restrictions?
