  11. Awesome, wonder if I can persuade the TDF organisors to allow tandems.
  12. I did not know he died during the Soweto uprising
  13. Elvis died..... on the way to school John Lennon was murdered......was stoned September 11..... sitting on a spinning bike watching planes land Armstrong confessed......
  14. The only little problem that we experienced was that the indoor trainer was only just big enough the handle the back wheel. Had the wheel clamp/brace been 10mm smaller it would not have fitted.
  15. Maybe you could try again and take a video this time. I might even pay to see it. Big H - just how big are you?
  16. I received question via my site if there is an indoor tandem specific trainer or if any good indoor trainer will do. I am not too sure how to answer this cause the only indoor training I have done was a 45 min session twice a week at the LBS doing light intervals. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Anyone out there with more experience using tandems and indoor trainers who can help me?
  17. Had the same problem - not good for the potential double up brigade. Other than that - welflippindone
  18. Phone Cape Cycle Systems who are the agents and they can tell you who has stock otherwise if you a Capie, give WW ( 082 413 8935) a call as he is a tandem rider, has a bike shop and always keen to do a good deal.
  19. Both makes are great but with a huge price differance.
  20. Racman ? all depends on how hard you want to ride the tandem. The cheap tandems (and they are available from +- R 6 000.00) are best for little social rides to the beach/pub and back. Push them hard and you will pick up problems from BB?s to chains etc and will cost you some big bucks to upgrade. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The other side of the coin is the more expensive ones (R 18 ? R 25 000) and they are the best to race and maybe the only upgrade you need are racing wheels. My first 2.5 cents is go to a bike shop that knows tandems. Second 2.5 cent is pick the middle route like the Ravo (I own one) or the Raleigh (+- R 14 000.000 as they great bikes, have good to great components, good to attempt racing. Good luck and PM me if you need some more help. My final advice ? don?t compromise on the components/group set.
  21. Was a pleasure to help and was kinda scary to think that I filled a black bag with old cycling tops, gloves, beenies, tracksuit pants and even had two pairs of cycling shoes. I am sure that everyone must have some stuff they dont need. Keep up the great work.
