  1. I have always wanted to get a brookes leather saddle. I want it for my X country steed and not sure what model to look at. I think the B-17 was the flavor of the month a while ago but not sure what development there have been. Does anyone have any info or experience to share with me to help my decision?
  2. I cant find that video of the jump in san francisco (I think)
  3. Heard you can smack it with a hammer and it wont break.
  4. Only had experience with fox RP23 and hove no complaints. They say service it every x hours but was told only service if shock plays up.
  5. Also don't forget the spesh Brain technology.
  6. What about running a shock at max pressure? It will be hard and then will compress when you hit the wheel down hard. Or get this http://blog.rushsportscycling.com/2011/04/01/spank-morewood-release-new-design/
  7. anybody seen the cane creek "double barrel" shock on a bike yet in this country? http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/rear-shocks/product/review-cane-creek-double-barrel-9761/
  8. I was told to learn to ride on a hardtail before i get a FS. I did this and when i gopt the FS I felt like I had made a mistake as there was no feedback from the wheels. I also felt like I was going to break the bike as it was soft. Chatting to a mate I was mentioning all that I thought was wrong and that I am going to return to a hardtail as its more fun. He said "its a morewood and you have to hurt the bike to enjoy it" since than I have ridden that machine hard and only have good things to say. You can do more things on a FS as it is VERY forgiving. I reckon I would have broken a few bones had it not been for the FS. Comfort - yes. Handling - Hell yes. You can feel it in the corners and certian terrain.(Setup is crucial)
  9. I played a little with the air (Same pressure as my REBA) and it didnt feel good. I am going to ride it for a few days then see if its still stiff as I think it could also be the lockout. If i dont come right I( am going to contact my LBS
  10. I got the 140 revelation. Just put a SID on and its 100 travel. Was considering doing the 120 but only if its worth it. Strange you say the shock is very stiff. compared to the REBA I found the same. I had put it down to air pressure. Will also have it serviced as they can be finnicky about oil levels.
  11. How did this pan out, 100 or 120 is better?
  12. What are your guys thoughts on the 100 vs 120 mm travel fork on a morewood zula? I find the 120 perfect but will be trying a 100mm soon.
  13. My thoughts exactly.
  14. Ths BB on the sukuma looks a tad weak, but we know how these machines are over tested in development.
  15. Well I have both bikes and they are both neat machines. Bantam with mags, lowered springs and V8 engine from Benoni.
  16. Anything Windhoek is always in stock, I like the odd milk stout too Regulars are amstel, black label, castles. To gain weight I drank hunters and savanah for a while.
  17. The only weight given there is for an older frame. Thought the butting and materials used would have changed the weight slightly. Thanks for the confirmation on weights. I was wondering why at 3.2 kilos, the zula only got down to 2.45 kilos. Its like a hilux and a bantam comparison, no?
  18. What is the weight of a Medium 2009 morewood shova frame?
  19. How is mounting/dismounting pavements with panniers?
  20. Oh gosh, new toys always inspire people to ride their steeds, I can see my inbox getting full of "When we commuting" mails... Glad you got 150 and not 140 like mine...wanna swap forks?
  21. Arent all lefties (cannondale) inverted too?
  22. Has anyone replaced the chainring on one of those new XTR cranks yet? Would be interested in price, availability and generic compatibility.
  23. So what is the consensus here if you change just the rotor from 160 to 180? Definitely better? I changed from a 180 in front to a 160 (nothing to do with stopping power, just easier to keep all the same size.)
  24. 1 x Zula 1 x Shova
  25. Anybody looking for a team mate? PM me
