  1. Blxm!!!3.1 kgs for a complete, "ridable" bike!!! Are those not the wheels that Rock Racing use at this stage? 740 grams for wheels WITH tyres!! And he does a 1000 kms a week on it! But I dont like the 6 speed and the downtube shifters
  2. Now I know where the fun was!! We only suffered in that 2nd bunch - Chrissie still owes me and levi some tom for pacing her back to win the race Good fun race - will be back!
  3. The levers look a lot like the current SRAM levers!? Nice nevertheless, the old Dura-Ace is due for an upgrade There's some more info on Cyclingnews.com http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?id=tech/2008/features/shimano_da09_rumours_mar08
  4. There seems to be a lack of understanding of how a night race works Very very nice, please can we list this under events next time, will be nice if one can do this on a Friday or Saturday night Well done to the Teak Place crowd for doing this
  5. Cool, thanks man! Will definately have a look! Widget, I don't think anyone will discount Cancellara now after this win and his stage win in the TDF last year (both in similar fashion). This man has AWESOME power over 1500-2000 meters! I was expecting something from Pozzato (who still made podium), but its seems Cancellara was just way too strong. To ride away from Pozzato and Gilbert in their current form takes something special
  6. WOW! I was reading this report and so wish I could have seen this finale!! Cancellara was awesome!! I think the rest of the spring classics are gonna be excellent this year!! http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2008/mar08/msr08/s-CANCELLARA-SANR1954.jpg Photo from cyclingnews.com Rest of the report here: http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2008/mar08/msr08/?id=results I could not see this on RAI on the new DSTV bouquets - did anybody record it by any chance?
Waar's Pantani, die man moet bietjie kom help hierso
  8. Serias! get well soon mate! Hope this wasn't on the cradle route where you normally train!?
  9. I just find it interesting that the English okes always complain about not being able to speak Afrikaans, but the Afrikaans okes never have the same issue? Secondly, there seems to be lots of jokes about the Afrikaans okes' English when the funny thing is really the other way round, not? Someone mentioned the case of Sufiso (sp?) Nhlapo bursting out in Sotho. Looking at the surname I think it will be Zulu... point is few of us will be able to understand. Thing is, the middle class is coming people.... how many of you speak a black language? If by then, you are still only capable of speaking English, put on your glasses and spot the dinosour.... talk about dying stuff, you have to spot the irony here.
  10. Seriously, with all the modern advances in technology and materials, why can't this be done for performance road bikes. You insert a compound that reflect a tyre pressure of say 10 bars and add the normal thread on the outside? Or better, a permatube inner tube with a normal road clincher on the outside. Nor more tubes, no more punctures, its all good
  11. Does that mean a victory salute will be considered risque?
  12. but if you get a puncture...... ..... then you see how many times you can say "Joseba Beloki" before you hit the deck
  13. Well done Cherise!!! Me and Psycho watched the race after our training ride and I could not help seeing Jackie van Eeden telling her to sit on his wheel in the sprint (just after Suikerbossie)... which she did, and she won. Clever, legal tactic. Good race savvy - when racing with the men, on a flat race (towards the end).... dont sprint the ladies, sprint with the strongest men!
[/quote'] Saterdag of Sondag? Man with no name2008-03-10 06:12:34

  19. Schweeeeeet. You almost have that bike restored to its former glory. OK OK, first door to the left, got it
  20. With you there brother - and to think that we are even wondering WHY she shave her legs?
  21. Spidey' date=' when did you wake up with Ewep ??? [/quote'] - damn I always read these things too late
  22. Cant really say that I do - actually had more punctures two to three weeks ago when we had all that rain - much better now. Punctures aren't my problem... this bloody high tempo pace on Friday mornings!!! What's up with that? Dr Suess and myself tried to have a chat this morning, but through every corner the guys are going 600+ watts? WTF? Dont get me wrong - I am all for a good tempo ride... but preferably on Thursdays. But... no one had a puncture this morning that I am aware of!?
