  1. I had to watch it in French (note to self, don't ask French friend to pay for Eurosport) but it was a great race, glad BJ held out!
  2. This sounds like a collection that should be shown to all Colnago fans on the hub (create and anonymous alias if you will). I wonder if it might be the collection my C59 ended up in .
  3. Same bike but better paint job, i love this.
  4. Out of interest, how many Masters are around in SA. I can't recall one ever popping up in the classifieds so either all owners want to keep them, or there is a hidden code you need to know to get access to the sellers, or there are not many around and one would have more luck trying eBay. Shoot...
  5. Those Delta's! Are those modified?
  6. .
  7. I think there might be in the ablution block in the middle of the parking but not 100% sure.
  8. A personal favourite too. At least we still have the last fast singletrack! Imagine if we had to ride up that and down the tar road
  9. Rode most of the route on Saturday for the second time. Reversing all of the route is ok but "re"-designing the route to make the best use of the available topography would be better, some things just don't make sense backwards and others are great, why not mix it up by putting your own stamp on how the route should run. The dual slalom section through the trees was one of the most fun aspects of the whole ride, now it's a pointless uphill slog when the fire road just next to it could be used for the uphill so that the dual slalom can stay downhill. Reversing the dam section just above the reeds in the far corner is meh. You used to have an awesome drop in to the ride along the canal before going around the dam to a lekker drop that gave you plenty of speed down to the reeds. now in reverse you just have a silly loose climb up the dam wall that all but the most x/y/z have to walk up and then a featureless ride around the dam because you can't do the canal drop in in reverse.I might even check for an old strava file where I did the whole available route and put arrows on to see if my theory can be put into practice. Or maybe I'll just ride my bike.
  10. I found one in my garage, lets try
  11. Flog... Dead... Horse!
  12. This. Half the problem with society today is that parents think it is everyone else's responsibility to raise their children and teach responsibility and common sense. Anyone who watches this and then goes and does something illegal or irresponsible should perhaps go and ask their parents for a do-over.
  13. I'm having a look at this. It's a chunk cheaper than Zwift and allows family use on the same account and I like the real video too.
  14. So that's where it went
  15. The only bad thing about this race was my form after 6 weeks of winter flu and a shattered collarbone on September. First ever AL start for me and managed to hang on 38km until getting dropped
  16. The Colnago C40 build in its final (for now) form. Colnago C40 B Stay in AD14 colour scheme. 10 speed Campagnolo Record. Colnago carbon seatpost, Deda zero 100 stem and Zipp SLSS carbon bars. Campagnolo Eurus G3 wheels with Record hubs and skewers. Selle Italia SLR flow saddle and Look Keo Blade pedals with Elite carbon cages.
  17. Got you, I just saw cassette and thought it was the one I sent you. I was going to say, I bought from that seller before too and the "perfect" Bergamont Dolce frame I bought for my wife ended up having radial cracks all over the carbon on the fork, I got my money back but won't go there again.
  18. Wayne, I just saw you said you had to replace the cassette. You should've contacted me, I'm happy to swap you for one of the other two I have in the drawer, that was the newest of all cassette's I had so it should've been perfect but as I use the SR 11-25/26 cassettes, I had not actually ridden that wider range one - what was wrong with it and let me know if you want me to send another down.
  19. Welcome to the right side
  20. This is what my Colnago C59 did to me 2 weeks ago on our first right after I changed her groupset. Damage to bike - slight chip of 1cm x 0.5cm on left shifter and scuff to shifter hood. Had to get both wheels trued but no other damage. Damage to me - Collar bone broken into 4 pieces with the main break diagonally down the middle forming 2 chisels. Spent Saturday and Sunday sitting in an armchair at home with my muscle being ground between two pieces of bone. Had to return to casualty on Sunday to have my titanium wedding ring cut of to return circulation to my damaged ring finger - wife now REALLY wants to advertise 2 Colnago's and a YT Jeffsy for sale on the hub. Went in for surgery on Monday and have a 16cm scar and the hospital's longest clavicle plate to date to show for my efforts.I think the bike won, thank the little baby J....
  21. Quite right Cippo, the crankset I got with the C59 had heel scuffs right through the paint and clearcoat so I sold that off and picked up the SR11 non-Ti to go with it as there were no 2009-2011 versions available.
  22. Sorry Wayne, I've come into financial difficulty and I'll need to buy that groupset back. Please ship it back to JHB for me with the frame attached I'm happy to pay double the price.
  23. You post all of this and now I have to decide between getting my budget done or going downstairs to start polishing the 10 speed chorus for my C40. Wayne, just remember dibs on that CT1
