  1. not just any Pyga Stage, a purple and orange Pyga Stage!
  2. Just bought a stage off the hub and its the best! Mine has 100mm fork and still feels as good on JHB downhills as my Jeffsy did. Granted if you like big hits and rocks then a 140mm would be better but not too many of those around JHB. Get the Stage, sell the 100mm and put a 120mm on if you want.
  3. Is the makro you start from a secret, would love somewhere safe to park for a ride like that.
  4. My sentiments exactly. I'm the only guy that's buy the bright purple and orange Pyga that someone else painted - it's cool... and no one else has one or can get one and I've had two Landy's as well.
  5. A friend rode there today and did 32km, here is his message: "Those trails are looking good. I'd be asking myself if brakes are absolutely necessary" Get on your bikes and ride (I'm just waiting for my brakes after my lockdown rebuild).
  6. You sir are indeed correct!
  7. Your response is natural, it's your money after all, but still not reasonable. Let me use a non-cycling example to explain. I once had a recruitment company, who I'd worked with for 10 years sell me a black Friday deal where if I paid 100k up front they would discount my recruitment per candidate for the next year. They were reputable, had won awards, and placed many candidates for me over the years. 3 weeks later they were in liquidation and the owners dodged out of JHB leaving their staff and clients with nothing. Do you think I could get my next recruiter to honour their theft? The timing of over the moon selling their "special price" multi entry card and and their subsequent dodgy "exit" from Modder cannot be overlooked. They stole your money for years by not re-investing it in the trails anyway. Why screw up a new and hopefully responsible and engaged business manager who needs your money now to make the bike park you want. If your R300 is that critical log a claim against over the moon, their business is still operational. Otherwise consider it an investment in a better Modder bike park. If you can't do that, we'll all enjoy better social distancing without your patronage and spend less on petrol getting to our ride than you will
  8. I'm so glad I'm not alone. My wife looked at me a little funny when I moved the cars out of the garage and took down two camp chairs so I could relax and have a beer with my bikes.
  9. Nope, edit: forgot the exclamation mark...!
  10. My bike took me nowhere. Imagine how depressed I am having sold my trainer 2 weeks before lockdown was announced FML Now all I do is watch Rapha films on YouTube. Labrador and New Foundland look enticing.
  11. My old girl, I do miss her.
  12. Is this your version of bankrupt
  13. Switching from the 22mm Rovals to the 26mm cSixx's was unfortunately a gain I'll start with pedals, 160mm SRAM Centrline on the front and a carbon saddle when I find one I like.
  14. *Updated post "Show your bike some love and win" You asked and I will show. My Pyga has had a rough life (she thinks so as all kids do). Having been raised as one of many many children, she often had to compete with the beauty of her Colnago sisters, the prestige of her US postal Trek of a brother and the waif thin 7.4kg Open hardtail that was the apple of her father's eye. Living amongst these beauties was not easy and one day the Stage decided that standard colours just wouldn't do so she went out and got herself a radiant paint job. Glitter infused purple gloss paint that would be at home on the nails of a seapoint hooker and bright orange decals to match. Now her siblings had something to envy and with her new looks in hand she decided to leave her family in the Cape and find a new home (in my garage). Paint isn't everything though, you have to be clean too. I've taken the time to strip her down, clean and polish every square mm, grease the pivots and weigh every component in preparation for putting her back together. Time for some of that love you asked for... Now for some details: Frame Pyga Stage Max Fork Fox Factory Stepcast 32 Seatpost Enve Carbon Headset Cane Creek Stem Rapide 31.8 70mm Handlebars Enve Carbon SWP 740mm Grips ESI Saddle Rapide T:F Wheels cSixx XCM Series 9 Hope Pro 4 BB SRAM DUB Shifter SRAM XX1 Brakes Trickstuff Picollo Crankset SRAM XX1 RearDereilleur SRAM XX1 Casette SRAM XX1 Chain SRAM XX1 Pedals Shimano XTR Bottle Cages Specialized Front Axle Fox Rear Axle Maxle Shock Rockshox Monarch RT3 Rotors SRAM Centrline Total weight including pedals, cages and Samurai swords: 11.21kg

  17. My bike took me to pieces, and Kenzie brought out the hammer.
  18. Almost thought you were going to ask a question about a different kind of hub where premium is free for the next few weeks.
  19. Imagine this with our healthcare system.
  20. Sho, some people are dumb. Let's break this down to what is possible if people work together. Virus has incubation period. Virus runs its course. If not transferred to another person, virus is killed by human immune system. No more virus. If everyone stayed home and ensured that no one received the virus from someone else and thus reset the incubation period. The pandemic could die out for long enough for medical facilities to deal with the cases and researchers to develop a vaccine. But no, lets go and play outside... Let me give you some personal context, you won't care, but I do: My daughter was born with congenital heart disease, this means that she currently has an unrepaired heart defect which compromises her immune system by only letting her O2 stats run at below 80, instead of the 95+ you run at. She is also susceptible to respiratory infections to the extent that Medical Aid will pay R30k/month during RSV season for a 30 day vaccine to prevent the chest infection. Once repaired (when she is big enough for open heart bypass surgery) she has the potential for a long and full life. But no, leaving your property for non-essential recreational activities is more important than the health of all of us, particularly our mothers, fathers and children with compromised immune systems.
  21. Maybe these pictures will make it easier to understand for those who can't comprehend the need to have an actual lockdown: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/03/22/world/coronavirus-spread.html?smid=nytcore-ios-shares&fbclid=IwAR09pNdrUoTGP7egDBjnlyrPBjbhagZOubE9-cgVg4VuUQul3bAoK2sK1Wc
  22. Next photo should align your TT with the top of the mountain.
  23. Here you go good sir
  24. Thanks Shaun, this all sounds great and you have taken a big task here. Looking forward to riding Modders again.
  25. But the tree doesn't match...
