  1. I once stripped a Sturmey Archer rear hub. That was 6 hours of my life I will never get back.
  2. You may have to shorten your chain, but that's about it. You may also have to move the FDR a bit down.
  3. I was outside St Paul's cathedral in London on Saturday and saw these babies. I suppose our ambulance people will have to get into shape before we get them.
  4. She was not even out of breath after the race. The DH guys could hardly talk for 30 min after. She is obviously extremely fit, she does look it anyway!!
  5. I had an order delivered recently, it took a while but got here fine. I only had to pay the VAT and it still worked out cheaper than any LBS.
  6. I lost a battery in a black Velcro pouch. PM me if you found it please. It was brilliant, the bigger guys like me struggled a bit on the first half but then that single track was awesome, particularly in the dark I enjoyed the ride through the trees. I will definitely be back next year.
  7. I paid R 8000.00 at John O'Connor Cycles but the exchange rate may have made it slightly higher. It is BB30 so I had to buy the adapter to take my Campag crank. I have consequently put the FSA SLK BB30 compact on. The adapter was R275 I think, but if you need one, I have one.
  8. I have a CAAD10, it is brilliant, in the recent world road champs qualifying in PMB the 35-39 year category was apparently won on the CAAD10.
  9. I have the CAAD10 with a mix of Campy, Vento wheels (to stay on this thread), Chorus brakes, Centaur STI, Veloce Rear Der, Veloce cluster and FSA SLK Crank. Slowbee the Vento's are bomb proof, 2nd set and very happy (they are R1 899.00 at CWC). Dracs don't test the the CAAD10 "you will buy it". Never had such a superb ride and the frame was only R8 000.00 from John O'connor Cycles.
  10. I like the overall summary, I have burned 688 burgers since I joined and am 0,16 of the way around the world. I also managed to record the whole DC with spare but am using Battery Saver on my BB.
  11. Tax man bought me the new Cannondale CAAD 10. Best money I ever spent except for my dishwasher.
  12. Will be my ninth, Best 2008-3:49, Worst 2004-6:11. This year it is with my son on a farm gate with wheels so anything will do.
  13. It surprizes me that we have 22 pages of comment on the negative and one comment on the positive.
  14. If you forget to stop the workout, you can adjust the time on the web afterwards. Happens to me all the time.
  15. Check this out Peace island I reckon there are some crazies out there.
  16. My Bad, I did a search but obviously only in the topic and not the Site.
  17. I loaded this application on my Blackberry and have done a few rides using it. It is pretty cool and gives a ride profile, ave speed, distance, time and loads the route onto Google maps. You can also upload from your Garmin. Check out Endomondo. Most important its free
  18. So the Parlotones played to a huge crowd last night and it was pretty awesome. The Black Hotels were also good but the imports from Brittan who apparently have sold 8mil albums were not that great.
  19. Why does it cost so much more to make a Pinarello than its competitors? Surely no-one would spend that much just for the name, or is it a case of the suppliers sitting down late one night and thinking "wait a minute, wait just a friggin minute, what if there was a way to make someone spend R50k more on a bike that cost the same to make as a Trek".
  20. Road - 90Km/h down suikerbossie with Japanese tourists clicking away in bus. Mtb - Overtook a Atoz on the inside going down kloofnek toward CTN doing 74km's last week.
  21. Check this out. Maybe the song is a bit old for the Elites but the Vets and Masters will remember. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMwn_hnoS5Y
  22. Nice one, I am having some problems getting it to fixed gear and track hubs are so expensive, maybe I will stay with Single speed and do the planet-x cluster body conversion.
  23. I'm 6'2" so the 63 frame is just right and when you are over a 100 kg's heave metal seems logical
  24. A and A powder coating in Killarney Gardens
