Makes sense if I look at how my riding buddies and I are batched (also numbers within batch). Others I've seen done "first come first serve" so the earlier you enter the higher your starting batch (this is a really k@k idea though).

That's going to be an interesting dynamic on Sunday: people wanting to ride the Spruit outside of Juma ride. Guess there has been posters up along the trail for a while now so people should know about it (?)

100% absolutely agree with you. Anyone expecting anything different is going to be disappointed; this is most definitely a ride and not a race, unless you start in A batch. I did the back half of the 52km on Saturday and it is pretty much the length of the Spruit from Paulshof to Emma - those who have done it will know it's single track all the way with few opportunities to pass. Pack your tolerance and leave testosterone at home. Sit back, enjoy the first half through storm water drains & tunnels and then the way back to Emma for what it is.... and then.... BEERTIME!
