  1. I don't think I have ever posted here but thought I would share... Finally scratched an itch I had for a while... I applied ointment liberally... Bontrager Ballista MIPS
  2. sleeeeep SLEEP The difference between us and the pros is the amount of recovery and sleep they can get without needing to go to work or feed the kids etc etc. Also make sure your diet supports your lifestyle and amount of exercise. But I do like me some choc milk or natural made protein shake. 1 cup milk 1-2 tbl sp Nut butter 1cup non-fat cottage cheese 1 cup yogurt Opt for non-fat, plain yogurt 1 Banana 1/2 - 1 cup cooked oats 1 tsp some powder Cinnamon for flavour if you want Blend. Done. You can add 1 scoop pure protein powder (100% whey, egg) but not protein shake mix as you often don't know what is in these and most have lots of stuff you don't want.
  3. I always knew Cracknfail was supposed to come from Makro. Now you REALLY shouldn't buy a Makro bike... Maybe Makro Bought Cycle Lab...
  4. Sounds like a carbon copy of my last month...
  5. Nearly 2 weeks into a upper respiratory infection. Started the Saturday just before Lost City Cycle 4 Cansa. I skipped the race, eventually went to the doc end of last week and the antibiotics is also finished now. So now I still got the gunk in the throat and cough - staying on warm liquids also but still now it looks like I will be losing my entry for Race For Victory also this Sunday as I doubt I would be back to full health. Being off the bike for 2 weeks I know I lost some fitness etc. so I think racing may just do more harm than good anyway. Just sucks losing 2 paid for entries...
  6. There is some sweating on a lot of tyres. Have Seen Maxxis and Schwalbe do this but nothing sweats like a Conti - they should come with a ml/hour rating for the amount of sealant loss. Vittoria Barzo and Saguaro is still a great combo even if the Saguaro especially is a bit heavier than RaRa but the Barzo is grippier than RoRo.
  7. If there is no cracks and there is still tread - ride'em till they are bald. They cost enough not to waste good rubber. Still prefer them to any other make of rubber 7 days a week. - this is starting to sound like an ad for another kind of "rubber"...
  8. Happy with 60th. Should have picked Martin, GVA instead of Bernal, De Gendt, Calmejane. Think next year I will pick a frogless team and see how that goes.
  9. Too much happens between tours... i am not even considering any picks for next year. This year was enough stress already thanks.
  10. I'm dropping Sagan... He is making everyone else look bad and thus is the only one not on the drop short list.
  11. De Gendt and Bernal is dropping me this week... 0 each. Sooooo I am up only another 2 spots.
  12. up 62 places... top 100 by tomorrow
  13. Goes speeding up the road and then planked out somewhere 1/2 way up - sound more like what an inexperienced rider would have done than a rider with his years... and then he used up a great resource that could have spent his efforts more effectively elsewhere. Real team player. Definitely didn't deserve it. If it had to go someone maybe Marc Soler rather since he did all the work. Maybe he found out the work is twice as hard when it is honest???
  14. At least I gained 87 positions
  15. Cav should not have been there for WEEK 1
  16. I can only go in the opposite direction... I hope
  17. Same boat but would solve another issue I have with who to sub this week...
  18. Porte crashes out just in time to get subbed - I needed to drop a useless GC rider anyway - Maybe the TDF is just not his race and he should focus on the other grand tours...
  19. So who has some puncheurs or rouleurs for todays stage??? will the break take a win???
  20. Introduction To Bike Hub Fantasy Tour with special insert on why you should have picked Sagan to stand any sort of chance.
  21. just to recap... still here...
  22. Yes it's just about the only sure thing...
  23. Eks so deurmekaar soos 'n verkleurmannetjie op 'n smartie boks. I think I will be making huge pick mistakes again...
  24. Usually if you are operating at the limit of the trainer then the watts cannot go that high in the gear you are in. Use a higher gear - the trainer will "loosen" for the lower watt requirements and "tighten" to the higher watt requirements. Because you are using a too low a gear the trainer reaches its limit and thus cannot brake harder to get you to the required watts.
