    Oh and PS....The Argus used to follow this route in days gone by. There is a hairy corner at speed dropping down into Kommetjie

    We had a house in Scarbs and I did that route to the Kommetjie Cafe for milk and bread on my bike. I think there have been a number of incidents along that road which is a shame because its a stunning little road. Was it not somewhere along here that that surfer was attacked and killed?

    Many years ago when I got divorced and moved to JHB my family asked me what I wanted for XMAS because they were tired of buying gifts that were a waste of money ,not used ,not liked etc. So I sent back a list of examples of presents to choose from. Volley Ball Volley Ball Net Squash Balls Kershaw Knife Etc Etc The parcel arrived with all of them except the etc etc Must of cost them a fortune I felt so bad

    If you are doing that trip even during a working day you stock up on some decent Padkos the night before because there is nothing between jhb and the Blue Naartjie in CalviniaSorry The Red Sands restaurant is not too shabby if you are staying over there

    Pretty much like Zeerust etc...just as shitty, Anyway on occasion I like to stay in town in a B&B and ride my mtb to the Mission Station and spend some time there and drop a coin or two It does my soul good.
