Your mileage may vary, but since my wife was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in April, I've upped our probiotic intake significantly. I think all of the 9-strain ones are pretty much the same, the Biogen one is the cheapest one. Plus I've taken to preparing water kefir, flavoured with rooibos tea. Whether it is luck, placebo effect, or actually working, I don't care - since I've known her, she would have bronchitis or pneumonia at least once a year, but usually more than once. Since April she had one slight cold, and it didn't go into her lungs.
