How could I forget Prehistorik?! Ah, the good old days when four colours were amazing

We used to LAN Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, Medal of Honor and Call of Duty (the original. Before magic healing). I still love the opening tune of Medal of honor, I'd just sit in the main menu for a while before playing. Got into gaming with whatever ran on our XT. Can't even remember the games... Alley Cat, some 4x4 game where you could bump into rocks to flip over mud, Montezuma's Revenge, Dig Dug. Possibly Bubble Bobble. My first console was PS3 though, so I've missed out on a HUGE number of games.

    Exactly how I feel, sadly...
  5. It is the shortened links that don't show the image: youtu.be the full link should work fine: youtube.com
  6. On the initial article someone mentioned they are riding the TT bike, perhaps they have more feedback since then: https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=ccs&module=pages&section=comments&database=1&record=6982&do=findComment&comment_id=3224801
  7. New firmware is scheduled for release on 15 Dec. Let's hope it fixes current issues, without introducing new ones
  8. You could try Rimadyl. Should be available over the counter at most vets. Just not Voltaren, apparently people are buying it on their medical aid and giving to their dogs
  9. Unfortunately yes. It is SO close to being great, especially frustrating having experienced how well the app worked before.
  10. Another little update: Since I've already tried re-installing with no luck, I'll just wait for the next app and firmware updates to be released.

We went with them last month, taking advantage of the free installation. So far everything is great, except for the router. I'm pretty sure I did not select walk-in collection... driving to JHB for a router is not going to happen. Hopefully it can be sent to us soon. Thankfully our LTE router works fine. I borrowed Rocksmith for the PS3 from a colleague (I have it for PC, but the study is getting a bit cramped). I still suck. Fun though, sore fingers and all
  12. Mine is the same - it shows goal streak ending 24 Nov achieved, but I see no option of spinning. Also Android.
  13. An update, kinda.... I received a mail back, asking for information on phone, software version, etc. (all of which I should have included in my original mail, stupid of me) Only took a week.

Hmmm, my wife is considering one of a blackbird, in honour of her mum... Not sure if I should warn her, or keep my mouth shut. I have my doubts that she'll go through with it, even without this information.
  15. Yeah, I've got the milk kefir too, but I'm still struggling with getting it flavoured so that I can actually enjoy it. My wife plainly refuses. You can get the starter kit (kefir grains) at a number of places, if you are willing to make it yourself. I got mine at CraftyCultures. Then in the second stage I flavour it with whichever flavoured rooibos tea.
  16. Your mileage may vary, but since my wife was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in April, I've upped our probiotic intake significantly. I think all of the 9-strain ones are pretty much the same, the Biogen one is the cheapest one. Plus I've taken to preparing water kefir, flavoured with rooibos tea. Whether it is luck, placebo effect, or actually working, I don't care - since I've known her, she would have bronchitis or pneumonia at least once a year, but usually more than once. Since April she had one slight cold, and it didn't go into her lungs.

That was me with Max Payne. Played through the night, went to campus for one or two classes, came back and finished the game. I am not sure any other game has grabbed me that much since.
  18. So, once you receive a Completion letter, or Verification of Assessment, that means happiness, right? No more trying to figure out what the %%!@#& they want this time (for another year, at least)?
  19. As if we really needed confirmation, but SARS is being naughty: https://www.fin24.com/Economy/tax-ombud-puts-questionable-sars-practices-in-spotlight-20171122
  20. I have not tried it, but I imagine they will stop you from using the incorrect app for your device. The v2 app is for the newer devices including the Enhanced Super GPS (they refer to them as the Y10 devices), and the version 1 app is for the earlier (y9) devices. I sent their support department a mail about the app issue, IF I get a response I'll update
  21. Ah, different issue then. As the app crashes soon after starting the recording, after I stop the ride I have to wait for the app to be closed by the OS, then relaunch the app, and manually upload. Do you use the live tracking feature? I should perhaps test turning it off, to see if the app doesn't crash without it. Other than the current app issues (it worked perfectly a few updates back), and the rather annoying altitude bug, the GPS is great and tracks rides perfectly.
  22. I think the upload problem is with the app, though there are issues with the unit too that I hope they solve at some point in firmware. I found mention on some other forum that a beta version of the app fixes the crash issue, which will probably fix the live tracking issue I have, and hopefully the automatic syncing. Who knows when that will be released...
  23. I haven't tried the live segments. But currently the app crashes on every ride, for me at least, so I'm assuming it won't work (same as the notifications and live tracking).

Inside the Wolfenstein 3D "nightmare", inside Wolfenstein: The New Order. Aaah, memories of the days before sound cards!
