  1. It's definately on purpose, seen a bunch of **** like that before. Psycho!
  2. This is so sad and disheartening. I want to make the shift from road to mtb due to all the people getting mowed down and now this happens. I just dont know if cycling is worth all the risk anymore. Hope he recovers soon.
  3. *SOLD* I have a 175km entry available, pm me if interested.
  4. I've thought of doing this after a couple of close calls. Just dont know what I'll do with the video if I survive another. Will showing the video footage to authorities really make a difference if there are no 1.5m laws in place?
  5. I wouldn't know.. just build one and test it out. Make sure you compact the soil well then you should'nt have a problem
  6. Jeesh, I would be so grateful to just have the talent to ride at that level! For a guy to dope who actually has that talent is just sad.
  7. It must have been a hectic dream!?
  8. haha, that's funny! Have you noticed how many pro-golfers STILL wear them? ..idiots
  9. Very interesting! I enjoyed Joerg Jaksche's description, "its like having a dead body in your basement, its stinks a little bit after a while and its going to come up more and more and more, and one day the police is going to find it.."
  10. For interest sake, could great sprinters like Cavendish, Sagan, etc be on dope? Just wondering...
  11. That is the best clip I've seen in a very long time! Brilliant!
  12. Hey, maybe Lance can start focussing more on his acting career since he's banned from cycling..
  13. WTF? There really should be a facepalm emoticon..
  14. Thats so cool! This is what every father should do for his kids, can just imagine how much fun he will be having on that bike, memories for a life time!
  15. Jeesh, everyone loves this JB fellow
  16. When I was in standard 7, more than half the kids where regular drinkers. The fact that she is only 14 and drinking is certainly not uncommon. I'm sure she just thought she was a big girl now and knew what she was doing, big mistake and really sad.
  17. The amount charged for the argus to me is ok, but R 220.00 for the D2D was just crazy, all I got was the four safety pins for my number...
  18. Thank you for the advice, will have these tests done, its just a relief to know I dont have to change my lifestyle too much. I wouldn't make it if I was told I had to stop cycling altogether..
  19. This article is very helpful, thanks! Am just glad I can continue cycling, will just need to take the meds as prescribed. Thanks for all the replies
  20. Ja that's a good idea, but the doc should know what he's talking about seeing as though he was the springbok 7's team docter in 2000. But thanks for the advice
  21. That's what I also think and still believe, the doctor thinks otherwise though..
  22. The doc reckons its due to me forcing air into my lungs when cycling, apparently I'm allegic to something in the air which causes the closed up chest and the wheezing! The wheezing is the worst, but after a few hours that goes away on its own too. What I dont understand is why do I have a reaction to the allergens in the air only when I've exerted myself, and not all the time?
  23. Hi all So a few hours after this past weekends Dome 2 dome race my chest started feeling all tight and I had a little bit of difficulty breathing. This has only occured in the last 5 months and mostly after racing hard or training really hard. I figured it was something to do with the cold air or maybe even me being unfit or exerting myself too much. So I made an appointment with my doctor and it seems I have a mild case of asthma. So what do I do now? I don't know if I should stop cycling as I only ever show these symptoms after riding hard. The doctor didn't seem to be phased much, but maybe he just doesn't care. I just dont want to make it worse and become a full time asthma sufferer that needs to walk around with a pump and stuff. Does anyone have any information regaring asthma and cycling? Am I looking for trouble or can asthma be easily controlled and can I continue riding my bike? Doctor wants to see me two weeks after my next race to hear how the pump (Foxair Accuhaler) is working for me, so I suppose I could take my chances? Thanks
