  1. Flow is most definitely an AM/DH oriented wheel. From what I hear it's not that much heavier than the Arch but it is wider.
  2. DH at this time of year in the mountains? He must have been friesian.
  3. Arch is more middle ground, aggressive XC and all mountain. Flow is All Mountain and Downhill
  4. Could we use some of the funds to buy Riaan a pair of shorts?
  5. Had a claim with Outsurance after all our business equipment was stolen and they 'assessed' our claim for a week before paying out at the old price of the equipment. So we lost a week of income and lost a lot of money replacing all the computers and drives.
  6. Wait, I thought this was the fund to buy Kyalami?
  7. Well there goes my night watching MacAskill vids all over again.
  8. Cool, not trying to scupper the fundraising. Me and my colleagues, all cyclists, are going to go on our own crusade. We've got 3x3 metres of prime advertising space overlooking Greenside's busiest street that we can use to get our message out.
  9. The other thread got deleted so I'll repeat what I wrote here. The sentiment is great and it's awesome to see the Hub community supporting each other but the result is zero repercussions for the criminals and the insurers, CycleSure and Hollard, who have used the fine print to worm their way out of a very legitimate claim. If just 50 hubbers hounded the Hollard page and harassed CycleSure surely we could get a result? I've just checked and the broker we're using for our business insurance went through Hollard. I'm pulling our not insignificant insurance from them and stating the reason. Carpet, is there a reference we can use for your claim?
  10. I think it's a great sentiment but it grates me that the culprits, the security guards and Cyclesure/Hollard, get away with criminal activity and poor service respectively. And once again, it's left up to the good guys to pick up the pieces. The ideal for me would be to pressure Cyclesure into paying out. If 100 hubbers badmouthed them and called their service desks complaining incessantly they'd have to get their act together surely?
  11. What's their service, delivery and quality like, especially on the non GoPro mounts? Are their GoPro branded mounts genuine?
  12. Clearly your weekend bag is a case of Windhoeks.
  13. If there's a god then he had a great sense of humour making Peach. "I grant you amazeballs bicycling skills… but you shall have bones of tiramisu"
  14. Damn, I hope I wasn't number 51.
  15. How do you tell?
  16. I just want to say a big thank you to The Hub and World of Heroes for the new toy. Here's to a world of awesomeness (crashes) to be caught on video. http://i.imgur.com/7LOFi23.jpg
  17. If you're going to receive one then rather a forensic one.
  18. How the hell is Reinach not in the training camp?
  19. I know but I have to run for my mental wellbeing. If I don't run I start to suffer from depression. It's a great psychiatrist.
  20. Enduro refers to a race consisting of untimed liaison climb sections followed by timed, fast and flowing downhill singletrack sections with riders released in 30 second intervals. The number of timed down stages is usually around three or four.
  21. Running normally consists of Monday gentle recovery, Tuesday intervals, Wednesday easy 8-10, Thursday tempo, Friday rest, Saturday time trial, Sunday LSD (1:30 to 2:00). Varying between 45-60km per week. I noticed on the Enduro that although my aerobic fitness felt okay my legs were really weak after all the liaison climbs and they just didn't respond at sections where I needed to sprint. Completely dead! I started cramping badly at the end (quads when I stood, calves when I sat) and it was clear that I needed more time on the bike technically too, it took me a long time to loosen up. There doesn't seem to be a lot of overlap between cycling and running muscles because my pedaling legs are seriously weak (whereas I love hills when I run).
  22. Cheers! I gather with those 10sec to 1min intervals you're out the seat and sprinting whereas the others you stay sitting and push hard? EDIT: those last few words sound wrong out of context.
