  1. Apologies, time saver vs spelling check for the grammer ..... (not allowed to use that word any longer) In afrikaans, indeks: CF - Chris Froome SA - Sylvan Adams (moes sy naam kontroleer) DA - Dura - Ace
  2. I am all for disc brake bikes, that is the future and where I will spend money if I was in the market for a new bike. But my trusty 2000 Giant TCR still does the job with rim brake. Telling...english not my first language, perhaps could have used another words, one of those I regularly needs to google to understand that is used on the forum. Was not looking for a discussion, nor a dig at pro/con disc brake, merely stated my observation. I have noticed the switch, commentators about 10 min later. Been down those mountains back in 2012, even bought some land down Marie Blanc, after 5 days my brake blocks was shot/gone/finished. Was using DA brakes, friends were on imported Token/Microshifts...those were dangerous. CF has been outspoken about disc brake, SA publicly state if CF wants rim, he can have them, so to me that was a telling statement by CF, that he prefers rim to disc. All in the hope of rekindling the winning days of old.
  3. More telling, gave him a rim brake bike.
  4. I would go Frog, light bikes for kids. We could not get a Frog st the time and went Norco Sumaarai. Good build qaulity, bearings seem to spin for ever, but it is not Frog light.
  5. Upping the price with a box of smarties.
  6. Cav breaking the record is probably on the cards. Personally would like to see a break away with strong men in like WVA succeed on the final day.
  7. Louis rooming with Jan Bakelants? All for this new Louis, go Louis!
  8. Bike looks great!! The skillset of Hubbers, amazing.
  9. Around 5 times the price per hectare we I live. Was thinking the same, but Spain, more affordable, friendly nation.
  10. That is how I watch some Italian races on RAI.
  11. Expect a new Cav edition Spez coming out. The bonusses needs to be paid.
  12. Today is going to be tuff. From ASO point perhaps a bit of leniency for the great comeback story to be told. Breaking the record on the final day… Never liked EM, even more after his comments.
  13. The race is on for second! Can`t wait for stage 11 and 17. If the four other teams in the running for second place, collectively attack UAE either on Col de la Liguire and Col de Peyresourde, surely Pogacar can`t go alone for 90 and 60km. Stage 18, Luz Ardiden is a beautiful climb, overshadowed by Tourmalet. Personally Tourmalet was overrated for me.
  14. Positive side, both Nic and Stephen can now prepare for Olimpics.
  15. Do not think they need to. Set tempo, let breaks go! Other teams with top 5 aspirations will start to close breaks and like today with 30km to go, let Pogacar go, gain more time and win a stage.
  16. Louis at the front trying to brigde.
  17. There is a solution, salary schedule for last for yours, the exact nr of documents not sure but pm me, will send you the list and documents.
  18. Been down this road, after 8 months we received our money. Please PM me will give you an email from lady at UIF that assisted.
  19. Awesome, bike is looking good. Hope to do lots of bike build like yourself when the kids have grown up. Forget about Dangerholm, we have NSBB. Ps. Where is the photo in the shorts!
  20. Longo Borghini perhaps. It is Robert Hunter, photo clearer in the morning after a coffee.
  21. New Dangerholm build. https://m.pinkbike.com/news/dangerholm-a-mountain-bikers-gravel-bike.html
  22. Thanks for the feed back, appreciate. Not part of the Team, just a cycling enthusiast and fond of our region. Do talk to the team a bit and always give my feedback. Plus: nice gees around tent area, great food , well priced - Some feel with the accommodation the value is lost Not lekker: bladdy long drive to get there - only negative point for our region, but perhaps why we love it. 1000km whichever direction you go. Flights unaffordable point!!! Seems like it should be a gravel type event? - Do not have a gravel bike, the sand sections and corrugation going to be killers. Strange weighted seeding concept you have - From day one of the event told them the weighted seeding is off. This seeding comes from a race they did in Portugal, Trans Portugal, that event is times 5 this event on difficulty(length) and therefor the seeding outcome is incorrect. All the best for the Cape Epic prep.
  23. Off topic: Waxhead your thoughts on our local attemp at a stage race, Trans Augrabies?
  24. No please not December. Cancelled our Dec 2020 holiday, booked again for Dec 2021.
  25. Only watch the highlights now, VDP had to work hard to keep the yellow. Have not seen him spent like that before. The Pog bearly breaking a sweat.
