  1. Done Thanks for the effort Buff.
  2. Only cycling related purchase in more than 12 months, and not even for my own use.
  3. Hopefully Copperhead does not mind sharing his blog. http://gregssearchforwater.blogspot.com/
  4. He probably looked into an alternative, but what about a shimano DI2 battery in the seatpost.
  5. That Fox battery must drive him mad.
  6. Please start a thread or show some pictures.
  7. Awesome bike. Price, bietjie skurf! Have two boys...just maybe I can make a plan.
  8. Did you get to ride the private trail?
  9. I am also considering skipping the 14”. Currently no stock, middle March. My boy is taking it slowly with his balance bike. 3.5 years old, but I am not pushing him to like it, if he wants to ride fine. I took him with to bike shop, size wise cant see reason not to go 16”, weight is perhaps one consideration. Would like to get a Frog, seems they left SA, the ultimate will be Isla bike.
  10. After I have seen your Lynskey. All I am searching is titanium bikes!
  11. Copperhead you are as tuff as nails. Respect for the distance you have travelled. Calvinia to Kenhardt was an achievement, to be blown away by the traverse from Upington to Marydale in a storm. Marydale past Prieska to Britstown must have been brutal. Chapeau Always welcome in Upington, still owe you a braai.
  12. Can recommend B&B on the route. You will mis the Kalahari desert that Copperhead done, best travelled by car, day into Kgalagadi. September month you can add flowers in Namaqua.
  13. April is my favourite month weather and scenary. September can also work, but mornings very cold. Possible route: Upington to Keimoes - tarr and gravel Keimoes to Kakamas - gravel Kakamas to Augrabies - tarr Augrabies to Riemvasmaak - tarr and gravel, tuff day km wise Riemvasmaak to Khamkirri - gravel Khamkirri to Kakamas - gravel and tarr Co-op wine, private wine cellars, Augrabies Falls, Quiver tree forest, Rose quartz mine.
  14. Khi can be locals, but the two PV plants build after spend very little in our economy.
  15. Copperhead, due to Covid, VW, Audi and Bugatti did not bring in any cars for hot weather testing. Remember cycling on that route, and Bugatti in baby blue passed me, three years before they came on the market. The cars have yellow stickers allowing to travel upwards of 200km.
  16. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/emily-batty-signs-with-canyon.html Batty to Canyon.
  17. Welcome! Impressive ride!
  18. Wayne, Copperhead is probably out of signal, he decide to push on from Brandvlei to Kenhardt.
  19. Thanks to Revu, my Radar’s is back in use.
  20. Absolute Absalon
  21. Great run. From that low heart rate sure you van push faster.
  22. Some serious big chainrings on some of those bikes.
  23. Same problem with two pairs. Decided yesterday afternoon time to try Revu for replacement lenses. Pleasant dealings thus far and will report back when fitted.
